PLO HU 2/4 - call river?

Hey guys,

this is a hand i played together witha friend but unfortuantly i don´t have the HH on my PC anymore...so still hope it works thois way too...

Early versus Reg, limit is 2/4

Hero joint Table (so Villain = reg probably). No real history, given its very early in match so far only some „standard“ spots (so booth get 150bb deep).

Effective stack size is 150bb

Hero´s hand: KdQs7c5d

Hero opens pre 3x, get called sees flop

Flop: QdTs8d (6bb)

Cbet 5bb and face a c/r to 21bb (pot size raise), Hero calls

Turn: QdTs8d Jd (48bb)

Villain bets 40bb, hero calls

River: QdTs8d Jd Qh (128bb)

Villain jams last 86bb, odds:hero needs 29% for BE call Hero: tough spot...(?)

Do you play that hand differently on flop (Would you ever check back here?). As played, you fold or call on rive (reasoning?).

What if river would be a blank like 3h and villain ships?

Re: PLO HU 2/4 - call river?

I don't usually check back this flop but I'd consider it since this flop hits a decent reg's preflop defend range pretty hard. I also don't think he's bluff-raising flop hardly ever and we have 1 clean out which kinda sucks... honestly probably folding flop. Nobody is ever light here when they c/r pot and his range has a good number of NFD + gutter/pair type hands along with sets and straights that we're not drawing that well to beat / aren't getting much value from. Seems like a nitty fold???

As played...
looks a helluva lot like nut flush but I'm a station for the most part in these spots... board pairing might help me find a fold though. Tough spot without reads.

I don't think he expects you to fold here ever and he still jams riv so I'd advocate a fold. Not sure if i would actually fold 100% of the time here personally though.
