+1 i think its safe to assume the cheating was colluding or worse.

Wasnt that because all the money had been withdrawn, or they didnt have enough proof?

When stars confiscate funds for using VPN, what happens to the money? I cant imagine theyd keep it.

Im still thinking it could have to do with that maxx guy who planted trojans on Ronnys, nikki and others comps-didnt he mainly play 8game too? This was before December though.

Re: ok who cheated this time ????

hi!

i m not playin these stakes. but i find it pretty interesting to read whats going on in online poker especially on stars nowadays.
so stars refunded some "highstakes" players amounts between 150$ and 12k because of illegal action in the end of last year.
for comprehensible reasons stars wont tell which players "cheated" nor what they did. as urubu explained they wont make any further information about this case public.
but for also comprehensible reasons guys playin these stakes on stars wanna know whats happening with their money.

since ptr is down now it is a lot more difficult to analyze a potential collusion/ cheat going on.
but i think most of u guys use some sort of pokertracker and have basically all hands u played saved on ur pc.
all it takes now is some diggin in these histories.

people wont post there whole hand histories because their tendencies could be exploited, but it should be possible somehow to post online the names of players someone played against in a certain amount of time (oct till dec last year!?).
if enough people who got refunded share this information it should be possible to reduce the number of possible cheaters to a few.
i m pretty sure there are some statistics/math geniuses around here who could apply some filters/forumlas for searchin these names or come up with some other ideas e.g. people who got refunded more played more hands with them!? (dont have to be true; maybe they just lost more to them)

thats just my thoughts about this topic....
i m curious what informations will come up here the next weeks...

PokerStars does not catalog every piece of software used by every
player on our site. I do not know if these players are using
software to select their seats.

There is no rule against using software to help seat you at
tables. TableNinja is an example of commonly used software that
does just that. You may use software for this purpose if you
would like.

If you would like to be assured of a seat at a table when certain
players sit, the most reliable method is to already be seated,
sitting in, and playing in the game. There are not typically so
many 25/50 PLO games running that you could not be seated and
playing in all of them whenever you are interested in playing
poker.

Best wishes,

Re: ok who cheated this time ????

cheating is most likely colluding, easiest and most effective way to cheat. So if you have been sandwhiched by 20% 3bettor's you didnt see before id look at some hands. oh and nice move zacharrr posting that here, very smart to cut into your own and everyone's winrate telling that here lol.
