i think you are seeing this the wrong way.
1st of all, remember stars could just close the cheater account and confiscate the money and don't refund any cent to us. most company would do this. players never ever would say anything... it was 4-5months ago, last year database, nobody noticed.
stars doing this refund, its bad marketing for them (we wouldn't be talking about this now and probably we would feel more safe w/o being aware) and they still choose to refund players. off course they knew regs would talk about this over 2p2.
btw i think they don't make public the cheater screename because, what if you had lose 20buy ins to the cheater at 25/50, but only 10 or 20% was because of the cheat? how you would be if stars say player X was the cheater and you see you are 100k down vs playerX? i mean, sometimes you play vs a cheater, but when you go all in AAT8ds x AA83r and he binks 542r flop.. i mean, its 'impossible' to figure exactly amount cheater stole from the players.. stars staff need make some guess in couple spots. its f hard to find the most fair number for everyone. i think thats why they don't make it public. almost everyone would email stars saying ''holy **** i deserve more money, i lose 50k to this player, why you only sent me $12k ?''
imo stars is doing a very good job for us and for the poker world.. think about how many times weird things happenned to us at other sites and we never got $1back.
