I don't think it's unethical to ignore him. You are not the dealer, and it is his responsibility to know the game/rules, not yours. That said, I honestly think it is probably more +ev to explain the rule to him.

Re: ******OFFICIAL 2010 STARS REGULARS THREAD******

anyone think there is anything weird about the play with POTSEALAH and BLAKKCAT? They have been playing the same short stack style and sitting at the same tables. Both are from Asuncion. I have seen some weird spots with them and can imagine that if you were good short stacker and get to see 8 cards you could do some damage. I am not sure of anything and have no hh or anything I just got this weird feeling playing with them just now. This was only at 1/2 PLO fwiw but I have seen them playing 2/4-5/10 recently

there will be a difference after some hands, which I assume is due to the method of rounding off your contributed rake's thousandth decimal place. Your total VPP according to Stars will not be as much as what HEM's rakex5.5 calc comes up with. It's never been all that significant of a difference to me, but then again I've never earned more than 300k VPPs in a calendar year. The disparity might seem significant for you at 2M VPPs.

How many stars regs do think buy HH's from PTR and other sites?

I believe they or sns very similar to theirs were part of a ring of shortstackers who plagued stars a few years ago. There was thread about whether they were bots and then suddenly they all disapeared. If you think anything suspicious is going on, definitely inform pstars security. BLAKKCAT is annoying but I don't have any evidence of anything other than standard ss play. Of course an obvious short term plan of action is to only start and play 50 bb min tables.

I didnt even use a hud up until recently and I havent noticed a significant change in my results. Aside from breaking a player down for hu play i think this tracking business (while v interesting) is quite overrated.

If you are 4 tabling you won't notice a difference. If you're playing any more tables than that and still don't notice a difference then you probably aren't using your hud optimally.

The information is relatively cheap. I'm suprised there are regs that don't.

There is a definite edge, but it's not as big as people are trying to make it out to be.

In a HU match, it's really only useful for the first 10 hands or so even with an enormous database (I buy my HHS nowadays) like mine. After that, game flow and other meta game considerations by and large take over.

I am sure there are other regs with purchased HHs as well. I am just more freely admitting it than most.

Against a competent opponent who adjusts at a reasonable rate, DBs drop in value very very quickly.

I have never purchased HHs. I think its cheating because its a violation of pokerstars T&C, right?

I wrote "are you new to this business " because it seems that not many players care about breaking the rules.
Just read the Isildur-thread and you see how many of the HS-players, >90%?, admits breaking the T&C and dont care about people sharing their databases.
(Im not saying they did. There is no evidence of this and i believe CTS is telling the truth. But even if they did almost all HS-players said it was no big deal)

I was curious if this was common also on stars and if many of my opponents have an unfair advantage. I believe this could mean ~1 BBs/100.
