aight, TGSM is a big boy, so I'll let him defend himself.

I'll simply point out that the etiquette seems far from clear, imo it's fine to ask a reg for HU action at 6max, but lame when you do it to a fish.

If the table has been running full for a couple orbits already, it's ok to ask a fish for HU, but joining reg+fish playing HU at 6max only to ask the fish for urself would be kinda douchey.

Definitely not okay to try leech people away from 6m games to play HU

All I'll say about TGSM is that on the rare occasion that I'll grind on Stars HU, he has been one of the few regs who seems willing to play, always sits and plays when I sit with him, happy to create and organise action. (fwiw I think I remember saying poker wasn't all he did, could have been trolling, could have been telling the truth). However, I give him props as 99% of the other regs 5/10 and higher literally never sit in and play unless there opponent is a) South American and b) sat with say $1467.89 on a 10/20 table (for example).

That said, Deldar/Shipit are correct, there will never be a reasonable argument to suggest that going to a 6max table and potentially breaking a game (whether meaning to or not) in order to satisfy your own needs, is acceptable or good etiquette.

I'll play UN here and suggest you guys have a Skype chat on etiquette when stuff like this happens. If one of you feels abused, it should be easy enough for the other one to exert a bit of common courtesy and apologize even if there's nothing to it.

Maybe a couple weeks back, Tiltkorv called me out in chat for slowrolling him. I was 10-tabling, bet the river with nutstraight and started going through action on other tables, not expecting to get raised. So after some 10 seconds of clicking elsewhere, I return to the hand in question and notice TK has shoved on me. He had blockers, and was obv pretty tilted by me taking so long.

Afterwards, I tell him I had no intention of slowrolling and he believed me - at least I hope so

However, if he had called me out ITT for slowrolling, I would def have been pissed. I have no idea on how TGSM usually behaves on tables, but I'm asking you to be extra careful with discussing his behaviour here.

Why would you assume they posted lightly? I got the feeling they felt strongly about it and wanted to speak out.

As for a skype chat how do you see it going? Apologise now or I will post it on 2+2. You suggest that common courtesy should be exerted, well if the posters thought that the guy was displaying common courtesy or even capable of it then I guess they would not have posted.

I have seen peoples character maligned many times here but you never suggested a skype chat remedy.

While I appreciate your attempt at diplomacy, it's important that the point is made very clear here.

This behavior may seem ok if it only happens now and again, but what would happen if more than one reg (on the entire site), thought that TGSM's behavior was standard? Tables would just be flooded with adverts for HU.

I feel like TGSM thinks he is entitled to this behavior because he's not a bumhunter (no idea about this), or because he's having a losing day.

Sorry to come down so hard on this, but it really is that annoying.

i agree w this. i think its ok doing this, actually nowadays its the best way to get hu action, go to ante tables and ask hu to regs. nothing wrong w this.

obv if its a fish, will be ridiculous, and yes deldar, being a winning or losing player, does matter in this case.

about tgsm, don't know him, but he also sat my tables couple times and played w friends at hu. def not bumhunter... but saying d2 is tight is ridiculous, im sure he is the more lag player hu i have ever played. he play so many hands at hu that im not sure if he is a reg lag or just a fish seeing flops. (by far he has the biggest vpip in my databse at hu).

I shouldn't even recognise his name, but I do, because he does this **** all the time in an extremely annoying fashion. In fact I specifically remember him sitting at 25/50 tables and asking for action, and then when people agreed telling them he only wanted to play 5/10.

A HU player does not need to be sitting on 6max tables, calling out players for action. If HU action is not enough for you, I suggest you join other sites, or learn another game. Noone cares what you "do" with your "chunks".
i strongly disagree w this. i did this in the past, and in future when i want play hu, i will do it again. no problem doing this , asking other regs hu. i can't understand how you annoyed w tsgm doing this.

i can understand being annoyed w pimpylimp. he does this asking only fish hu, which i think is terrible etiquete and lame move.

Well, to me it seemed they were describing a pattern of behaviour based on a very limited sample. I simply asked them to be careful with making such accusations.

wrt to Skype, it's w/e, but I didn't have ultimatums in mind, lol. Just meant that people could start by expressing their irritation privately.

Also, to be clear, my modding privileges are limited to SSPLO, so I'm not as active in my "diplomacy" here. Prob not a bad thing

Deldar, you shortstack the 6max games so u can just stfu. It doesn't take a large leap of faith to switch the argument over to explain why what you're doing is abusing the system as well. You leave if you get to like 100bbs. You talk all high and mighty in here, and then i see you shortstacking. Pathetic. If you want to play 40bbs go play ftp. All you're doing is abusing the system for your own profitability as well. You take advantage of "the rules" and other regs who want to play actual deep stacked poker. Seriously, go to ftp and play the 40bb games, or at least shut your damn mouth always commenting on other people's positions like the all-knowing moral police.

more like, if you want to play deep, play deep tables.

Also, not that it's directly relevant, but gl naming even 10 people who buy in full at 25/50+
******OFFICIAL STARS REGULARS THREAD****** Quote

Are there even 10 regulars who play everyone at 25/50+?

As for abusing the system, of course everyone does it. Everyone wants just to have the biggest profit in any possible way. Reading about TGSM, we played a little of HU and I def noticed he would quit once he loses a buyin or gets unstuck after being down quite a bit. But this happens in every HU match nowadays, people have to go to "dinner" when they are stuck 3 buyins but would play all night if someone is tilting away the money.

There is a reason why most of us are around for so long, and that is because we can very well understand where there is an edge to be found and where to stay away from the table is best. It's not like I can go gamble vs isil and if I bust I ask the government to give me another 10 billion like any bank does.

Some people have fewer morals and ethics than others for sure. Take axelf or the dangs for example, they made more money than most of us, yet abuse the system the most. I never really understood how people were giving especially axelf strategy advice here when everyone knew he is just the worst of the worst.

I don't get it. How is TGSM's behaviour bad etiquette? He is just asking if a person who have been playing with him would like to play again. Even if the person was a fish I don't see that as a bad etiquette. I understand that it will annoy people but I don't understand what code is broken here.

exactly, Deldar you are a complete douche. Seeing that you even speak up in here makes me vomit when you are the kind of poker player that has no game and plays that brainless hit n run low ball poker. Sit down!

Another thing, the whole bumhunting talk. Who even invented the term, its nonsense.
Everyone should play to optimize their results, isnt that logic?
So obviously one would choose the best games or one could just be challeging themselves. I mean who cares? Who are others to say what you can do and who you should play, its up to people to decide. So get off your high horse thinking your all mighty stating you play everyone and thinking thats cool or some bs?
Thinking you know other peoples motives and thoughts is a bad side product of beeing a poker player, cause you dont.

What is with all these wait lists in the ring games?

Is there a way to sign up for every wait list at once or something?

How come there are so many waitlists and not more tables running? Surely not every table has a big fish.

How come more tables aren't being started?

Insight plz??
