First you may be participating on illegal software development.
And second there's a chance you'll get scammed.

Dear Players,

I am writing this mail to everyone who has played in our highest PLO games during 2012 because I would like to hear from you regarding a possible All-Star Showdown for PLO. For those of you who don’t know, the All-Star Showdown is a Cash-Game style tournament where the participants play Heads-Up matches over four simultaneous tables. It is rake free, and players have to reveal their real names.

We just recently finished the Hold’em version of this tournament (http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/prom...star-showdown/) and felt that we learned a lot from that experience. The PLO version will be very similar, but we will try to avoid having players at the tables for 17 hours stretches as we did last time around.

So, for now we have a couple of questions. Would you be interested in playing in such a tournament with $100K buyin, and secondly, would April 2013 be a good period for it?

The sitting out before people leave the table is an extremely large problem. This is easily noticable behavior by anyone paying any attention.

agree, and i think there more likely to reload if theres still a game running on the table .


i think they should have 2 buttons for sitting out :

Sit out and leave
Sit out on all tables

and please pokerstars , make random seat assignment for all tables, its soo frustrating as a game starter to play anyone , then every single time someone bad sits i always end up with the worst seat, your giving your players 0 incentive to start tables

How is hat supposed to work? Seats get drawn when table is full?

I'm worried that this lends itself to people sitting in and out and in til they get the seat they like, but it probably is better than the default. I don't think lack of people starting tables is much of an issue for stars, or anyone really

i think random seating is a pretty terrible idea, and a much better way to incentivise/compensate table starters would be to adopt the ftp method of having them accrue vpp/fpps at an increased rate.

I think random seating for new (starting) tables could work and you could seat/table select as usual on full tables with the cave-eat that if you didnt take a seat on a new table you couldnt play said table for let say 20mins.

when you load a table up , i was thinking of 1 take seat button , instead of X amount of seat open, you click take seat, it puts you in one of the empty seats randomly.

obviously it would need something to stop people from coming back and forth, like if you join the table , you gotta take that seat again , or if its not available you cant rejoin in x amount of time.

i think the sitting out tables thing is more urgent to fix than the seating problem.

The moderator button for midstakes+ should also be some person that could handle these issues. Start kicking people off manually etc when needed. Also start kicking ppl out if they are seated at to many 6max tables alone and similar issues.

On a sidenote I wish Stars had the waitlist system as FTP where you can click offer me all similar games with 3 (4 or 5)+ players. That force action cause with a few guys having that clicked games sometimes run that otherwise not (cause when it gets 3handed quite a few people have it clicked for 4+ and it actually starts running when people are bored or whatever).

Stars PLO min buyin moving up to 40bb sometime in January according to PokerstarsSteve in the buyin thread.
