i'm on a run in omaha where i cant win ever. i'm a lowstakes player.. just a rec having fun.. but the fun has stopped. for a long time now. running bad is one thing.. being -5k at 25/50c 50/1.00 whether you're donking or playing tight is ****ed.

Does anyone have a good estimate for how much $ is raked / 100 hands at varioius stakes? Like how much money 1 player pays on average in a 6 handed 2/4 PLO game every 100 hands. Or possibly just sum up the rake every 100 hands at a single 6 handed table and take an average? Would be interesting to compare these values at various stakes, NLHE vs PLO etc, especially as a way to create a more 'even' rake schedule.

Rake is the same in PLO and NLH, just people play more hands in PLO because a lot of them looks pretty nice. Hey everybody lets start play 16/12 and rake will drop in half. If you want to be a looose monkey 24/18 and steal my blinds every button then pay for it madafaker!

Uncontested preflop pots are not raked. "We do not charge rake if the hand ends on the first betting round (before the flop in Hold’em or Omaha, before Fourth Street in Stud variants, or before the Draw in Draw variants)."

havent followed every post here but is there any concern that if they lower the rake it will affect people who rely on SNE for their income? Basically is overall rake a bigger concern to all the 1/2 and lower players than overall bonuses?

Why cant they just make the rake timed?
Base it on the avg rake per hour of an equivilant nl game.
May even sort out the sitting out problem on non HU tables

Why doesn't it work to rake 0.5% with a limit of lets say 10$ max? What I mean is just a system what charges higher stakes more and relieving the lower stakes? A working balanced system shouldn't be that much of a problem.

If the rake was affecting traffic I'm 100% sure plo rake would get lowered. The traffic is excellent.

Maybe you should stop telling everyone how great pokerstars/ftp is and boycott the games if you really have an issue.

Hey guys,

I hope to get a post up shortly. I've written something but am likely going to wait for PokerStars to post their recap of the meetings first. This way I can elaborate more and Stars will have an official position/commitments so that my opinions don't come off has their own.

I will try to condense my current summary into something more brief/generic to at least get something up while Stars prepares theirs.
