random heart, higher heart, 9, 9

11/44*3/43*3/42*2/41 = 1 in 16454
= not insignificant....almost twice as hard as a natural straight in 5 stud and 3 times easier than a natural full in 5stud. for comparison purposes

(odds of having 99 with UTG raise + odds of having two hearts (minus your two hearts)= Statistically insignificant.

Anyways, you said the guy is aggressive, you have a monster, pump it in there. I am assuming you lost, but you are going to lose here 35-40% of the time given that it looks like you have no fold equity. This isn't the two card game where you can pot control these spots and look for river equity. You will be way too soft and easy to play against.

Just shove flop since you have poorish visibility on what it is exactly you're looking for on the turn but you pretty much have positive equity to get it in on the flop and it's a lot more fun getting it in on the flop. Not like you're super deep.

I would be looking to get it in on this flop, awfully hard to be in terrible shape here. As played, turn gave us an additional 10+% on the river, soooooo....POT!

For the curious, villain showed 8654

So Loctus, BabyGrand, Penny, Bowchiki, BlackLotus etc would all have made the correct EV play.

Calling turn and folding blank rivers seems not great. I'd just shove turn as played myself. Flop seems alright, don't think we have to raise.

yeh, +1

If our opponent wants to win this pot then he's going to have to show us some better cards than ours after we've seen a river card.
