Live full ring PLO, 5-10 with 20 straddle on most hands, including this one.

Two limps, MP Raise to 70, two calls, I pot to 360ish out of the BB with AAJ7hhss, which sometimes I absolutely hate doing because this game always plays deep, we're just over 3K eff but double suit is just too nice.

Folds to MP, who calls, rest fold.

Q J 8 rainbow, but with two bdfd and middle pair blocker for me. I tank check to MP who obv pots.

Board smashes his range of course, but with with J I feel this is almost a call it off situation, I folded.

Thoughts?

Do these people know you? I'm curious about what they think your 3bet range is here. If you have a decent in position 3bet range that could have easily hit you like a ton of bricks just as easily as him

To be clear, I was in the BB, he was in MP, so I'm out of position this hand. Almost certainly he would be putting me on some form of AA here based on my table image and definitely narrow range multi-way out of the BB.

At your stacks maybe b/f the flop is a better line

I like bet folding for a reasonable sizing, in the case you get jammed on you can fold relatively easily, if called you have lots of turn cards (BDFDs) you can bet large on and put a lot of pressure on hands that have reasonable equity, and obviously having some amount fold equity is good as well

I actually c/c this hand against decent active players... it's really wierd though. I b/f vs fish or weaker players though. Tighter thinking players I just c/f. No reads makes this hand very difficult to play.

The real issue is your 3b range is too thin and perceived too thin

Sorry but how is it call it off with around 2700 behind?

I like b/f here. Sure the board is good for his range but if you ever 3b with non AA hands you haven't exactly whiffed every time here yourself. Strong rundowns hit this board pretty well. If you don't have non AA hands in your 3betting range then you really shouldn't 3bet this hand. Ds aces do play pretty well multiway as well.

Fold is the right play. Tank check is not. You have to be ready to bet any flop. Fake tank check is cool. But obviously, this is an aces cracking board/player. Live to see another day. Put the money in... in a better situation.

What hand do you actually beat here? That is the question you have to ask yourself. Good fold.
