I've recently started playing again, and this was my first time playing live Omaha in several years. Effective stacks are approx. 250 BBs. Hero was in the BB with Ks9s10d4d. MP raises to $15, the CO & SB (villain) call, and hero calls (I know this is a questionable call, but the table is relatively soft). The flop is 10s9c8s, giving me top two with the second nut flush draw on a possible straight board. SB checks, hero bets $50 (is this a bad bet?). MP calls, and SB raises pot. Hero?

SB seems somewhat savvy, although I've seen him raise light in a couple of spots earlier in the session (i.e. top two on a possible straight board). I've also seen him check raise a couple of times and end the hand when no one called. He laid down two hands to me earlier in the session when I bet big on the flop and turn with top set both times (it felt like he had big draws, and he knows when to lay a hand down).

Seems like a trivial fold. I prefer your flop lead to checking but I am not sure if that is best.

the reason we dump these hands is that yopur dangler really hurts you as it takes away a blocker or another card to draw to. It harder to fold these i admit on a soft table however you will end up in this position too often.

Bet folding here this deep is pretty bad because if he has the lone QJ with no spades then you have inflated the pot and now cant call the turn.

I check call the flop bet which is only about $45-$50 and see what turns come. The problem is i dont think you're getting paid if a spade or board pairs unless he's a newb

LOL ate folding the flop IP.

We call and we are protected because we are playing all(most) of our hands by calling the flop.

I'd fold PF, hand is just a little too weak unless you have like a very specific reason to continue.

Not folding like KQT/KJT but KT9 is pretty ****ty.

We are getting 5:1 closing the action and are almost always going to have ~22% equity.

Seems awfully nitty

You have to check call all the way down for your flush draw, if he doesnt pot you. He seems to be betting the straight but only a raise not something larger? I would consider my flush and two pair good or he does have the straight and will knock you out soon.
