It's a trap! It's a trap!

2/5 PLO OL. Villain is a common opponent who definitely plays me like I'm a nit. He's seen me flat bad aces OOP multiple times. I have also been caught turning hands into X/jam bluffs, but never against a full pot River bet.

Should I go smaller on my River raise? Like 200? Looking back on it, I'm not sure if it makes sense for my bluffs to be this size...

Stacks are ~ $500. Hero holds A A 9 4

Action:

Villain raises to 17, hero calls 17 SB, BB folds

Flop (41): A K T

Hero checks, villain checkS

Turn (41): T

Hero checks, villain bets $28.25, hero calls $28.25

River (97.50): 8

Hero checks, villain bets 97.50, hero raises to 390...

Yeah probably raise smaller, to like 280-320ish. It's just hard to be bluffing when you x/r for pot OTR so you're not going to get a heap of calls unless villain is sitting on like TT's full and thinks you're overplaying some hands.

You already have a nit image; any river xr will look mega strong. I think the proper adjustment is to only ever xr river pot and play for the loads of incorrect folds before he catches on that you're doing it way too much.

With this hand in this spot: meh.
