I see no reason why the chair wouldn't last 20 years.
perhaps a little TMI... I retired mine because I sweat a lot and like to sit in my chair with legs crossed with nothing but boxer-briefs on...

The sweat stains were quite visible and gross looking.

I came to the conclusion I shouldn't buy expensive chairs.

I'm aware it was written in 2007... Which was the context of my post, being that it is currently 2014. (Did you know that?, my how time flies!)

I am sorry to disappoint you father. I will execute myself with shame.

I just got a sketchy email sent to myself from myself apparently (same gmail address) saying my paypal account has been blocked and asking me to click on some sketchy link. In fact, my paypal account is not locked. I deleted the email. Am I hacked or at risk?

There was a discussion about charities not long ago around here. Here is a new project by famous poker players which looks promising for those of you who are interested:

And you'll just go through this exact process over and over if you're sitting there on your little 'relaxing' holiday. People suggesting a relaxing holiday have clearly never gone through a miserable breakup where there actually used to be serious emotional attachment.

Of course now wouldn't be the greatest time to go on a bender either, but the key is to keep busy. Keep doing **** and surround yourself with people or you'll go crazy. Also go easy in the poker area for a bit.

Edit: Right, and make sure you don't do any stalking on fb/instagram/whatever, just cut ties with the girl completely.
Agreed. Would like to add, that the most important thing is to do the things that make you happy - so if that is hanging out with friends, travelling, doing propbets or girls (or both - maybe at the same time? tinder prop inc?) do that. It is just way easier to get over a breakup if you are doing fun things to distract you from the bad and remind you of the good.

want to get some suggestions for a prop bet I think I might have action for (iirc kutty is bball player)

I am 29, not in best cardio shape and currently have a broken finger......

120 hours/2 weeks playing basketball with stream/webcam (all podcast/rails to be done from the court) for verification

playing basketball being playing any type of game or doing a solo basketball workout (can look up people doing those on youtube). Suggestions on break times for drinks/food, bathroom (pee bottles), stoppages while playing. It could just be when I am not actually on the court that time doesn't count and only time on the court does count. I have to be going at least 75 percent the entire time. With judges to rule on any issues and escrow. If i break leg/tear muscle I can still give it a go but probably would end up losing, if family member dies i play on, if they ban basketball in usa i lose. 1-1 odds

"going at least 75 percent" is way too subjective/impossible to judge. FWIW there's no way anyone in the world is doing something physical at 75+% for 60 hours a week.

good point, have to figure out some other way to define it then. I think on the court playing not standing there should probably suffice, not intending to be doing that

I worked at an outdoor basketball court during the summers when I played in college- got paid $7.50/hour to be there and make sure only community members used the court(they were super nice for outdoor courts and we started to get a ridiculous amount of traffic there). My hours were 12-8 on Mon-Fri and 2-8 on Sat/Sun. I lifted from 11-12 Mon-Sat. On Mon and Wed nights I would play full court at the local high school from 9-10:30. Basketball was life, and life was awesome.

No real point to me sharing this other than reminiscing....good luck if you try this, but I think you should do away with the 75% thing because its too arbitrary. I think you should be allowed to mix in high intensity drills with low intensity stuff like free throws. The only rule should be 120 hours of legit basketball training that a coach might put you through, and coaches will definitely have things like "ok gimme 10 free throw makes and then go get some water, hustle back!".

feel free to come put in some 10 hour sessions with me when did you actually get in bball workouts working 54 hours/week?

your 2nd paragraph is exactly what I had in mind for what I was planning to do while on the court

that 75% effort is so hard to estimate. i mean if you play 3 on 3 to one basket, or 5 on 5 full court, it's so easy to just slack off.

if you gotta give 95%+ on D all the time and offence is whatever, then it's more interesting

and even with these conditions i wouldn't bet

1000 suicides and 2500 pushups in 48 hours imo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g82D68N-ys

If your team loses you got to run 10 suicides, figure that will force you to give 110%. Also at least 1000 3 pointers at a 30% clip and 1000 free throws at a 70% clip with one ball and no help rebounding.

I would "work" for about 2 minutes on average each day(walk over to gate, see person, check their club card, open gate for them). Our neighborhood was only ~1000 homes, and once outsiders knew I wouldn't let them in then they stopped showing up. Otherwise I was free to shoot around and do drills or play against whomever was there. It was my dream job at that age.

We had some fairly legit bball talent in our neighborhood too, and they loved knowing that I was always there to give them a game(one guy you might know was Charles Lee who was the star player for the Bucknell team that beat Kansas in the NCAA tournament one year). I had a great mix of full court games, one-on-one games, and solo workouts that summer and the competition level was perfect(a few HS/college players slightly better than me who liked playing one-on-one, older guys in the neighborhood who liked to get together to play full court and they were very smart and taught me how to play good team basketball). I'm basically envisioning you doing the same type of thing for 2 weeks(although I think its insane for a 29 year old to be doing it!).
