I guess you are alwaysacallme. Is the problem that you keep getting boot out of the zoom ? What led you to think that it was an ego battle.

FWIW I think berating tilted regs gets me pretty good HU action. I'm just a misunderstood genius is all.

Also, if you add ioutplaydara and lefort to the Canadians you named you get >95% of the people who try to start zoom HU games.

No no, he is very respectful a person, and obviously a beast player. My message came across wrong if it came like this. As far as ego goes, I'll give anyone a run for his money. I'm well aware of it, too.

However, I don't think I had outright bad table behaviour at any point in my play though, and I would challenge anyone to show an instance of it on my end. If someone berates me I will give him a taste of his medicine, and I will happily callout people who exhibit toxic behaviour for the ecology of the games as a scumbag (like scripters, people who sit 6max tables alone to only play fish, etc etc).

The best HU regs tend to have the egos because ego is most likely highly correlated with being a good HU player. You need to drive to crush the other and prove yourself to be better to progress to high caliber play in my opinion. 6max nits don't need that ego drive, they just want to fleece bums and leave the table when they bust (no one come tell me that's not the case, it very clearly still is). Evaluating your skill is numerical (bb/100) in 6max, instead of comparative (I can crush that idiot).

TL;DR: We need more ego matches

"best HU regs"

keyword: best

All the other 95% of bumhunters are just bumhunters, they don't do the game justice and I'll claim a 4 table match against any of them. They deserve to get regulated out of the lobby (by having KoTH 10 tables at midstakes)

Limited amount of tbls have done wonders for action at 10-20. I was totally against zoom at 1st but it works really well when theres a big enough player pool and influx of rec players. I think limited amount of tables for 10-20 and above and zoom for 5-10 and under mite be a reasonable solution

Can people let me know how the king of the hill works in this scenario.

Lets say you have a full lobby 20/20, you are willing to play 18 out of the 20 regs, but don't want to play 2. So you sit one of the 18 that you are willing to play. When you do this, they don't want to play you and they leave the table. What happens if the 2/20 sits you then, when they already have a table, do you just have to leave your table? If so, there will be a free table that pops up instantly afterwards and you can sit back in the lobby? I'm confused…

E.G. Lets say Sauce doesn't like Galfond. Galfond wants to sit 50/100 and is willing to play everyone, except Sauce. Sauce keeps on sitting Galfond. Can Galfond still play 50/100 hu tables?

uve never played king of the hill during recess when u were a kid? theres a huge mountain of snow, everyones wearing a suit and everyones pushing each other off trying to get to the top. some dont want to get pushed so they stay lower, and sometimes the top ones move down a bit to push the lower ones off. some will quit and go cry in a corner but some will start climbing again until they claim their spot back.
