Re: ***HSPLO QUICK CHECKUP THREAD***

5 handed in the saturday stars ploament. as you can see we're /2 in chips and have almost 2/3rds of the chips in play. should i fold pre to avoid spots where i get it in flipping (or worse, as i did) postflop since that has to be a big ICM error? should i flat flop and fold to heart or board pairing turns? fine as played? berate away!

Re: ***HSPLO QUICK CHECKUP THREAD***

I think i'd flat the turn given its a tourney and w/ the stack sizes. I don't think shipping is too bad though.

I mean even if he's never bluffing here, I feel like he has TTxx a third of the time

Re: ***HSPLO QUICK CHECKUP THREAD***

yep i agree with hoop. also i'd donk turn 1/3 pot or something similar, he's very unlikely to continue with any bluffs after you call the raise on the flop, so you can go for max value when he actually has it.

I strongly prefer flatting the flop. Once he bets that big he's never folding, and given that, we're never getting our money in very good. If we call we can bluff hearts, get it in with huge EV if we hit and he continues, or fold to certain cards. Muchp plusEVo imo

Re: ***HSPLO QUICK CHECKUP THREAD***

Do we always fold this?
Villain is a regular and on the tighter side pre.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
PL Omaha $4(BB) Party
SB ($445)
BB ($2,800)
UTG ($749)
Hero ($734)
CO ($843)
BTN ($230)

Dealt to Hero 8 J A 9

fold, Hero raises to $12, fold, BTN calls $12, SB calls $10, BB calls $8

FLOP ($48) 3 2 9

SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $32, BTN raises to $141, SB folds, BB folds, Hero?
