yup having 55 is even better cause you will be able to miss and still win the pot more often, while I am a fan of bluffing the single blocker 2 > 1

Re: ***HSPLO QUICK CHECKUP THREAD***

zach, i 2nd brl that turn. awesome card to 2nd brl. as played i like your river play. id make it 520 btw.

i took a big shot today... not sure what i should do because i was really underolled. i had 40k roll and playing for 50%, so if i lose this hand its like 50% of my online roll. if i was rolled id call or shove. given i was sooo underolled, fold is ok to reduce variance? or close eyes and pray?

3bettor is reason im at table, 57/24 3bet 20%. CO is ilari, BTN and SB are 50/100-25/50 regs taking a shot.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
PL Omaha $400(BB) Replayer

BB ($26,246)
Hero ($36,805)

Hero antes $80
UTG+1 antes $80
CO antes $80
BTN antes $80
SB antes $80
BB antes $80

Dealt to Hero A Q 5 T

Hero raises to $1,480, fold, CO calls $1,480, BTN calls $1,480, SB calls $1,280, BB raises to $9,360, hero ?

I'm calling. You have a good multiway hand, so you wouldnt mind if they others come in behind you. And if you call and somebody behind you decides to get it in, its usually not that bad 3 or 4ways.

Re: ***HSPLO QUICK CHECKUP THREAD***

whilst the 3bettor might be the reason youre at the table, i dont think youre making much money either from flatting and having the most likely scenario be everyone else calls, bb jams bunch of flops, or from 4betting and maybe being around breakeven vs his range assuming everyone else gets out of the way. if i did decide not to fold i think 4b>>>call.

thx for your answer, but actually i asked another thing.

i know call is the best play if we look at this at a poker hand or at big blinds. im calling all day this hand. but that was half of my roll at table and my stack rep a huge part of my life roll.

given this fact, you still call in this spot?

hand i just played, utg is a whale 70/50 3b 25%, mp is a reg, btn is a fish 60/30 0% 3bet.

std shove?

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
PL Omaha $10(BB) Replayer
Hero ($880)
BB ($1,000)
UTG ($1,468)
UTG+1 ($692)
CO ($2,824)
BTN ($616)

Dealt to Hero A 3 A 3

UTG raises to $30, UTG+1 calls $30, fold, BTN calls $30, Hero raises to $160, fold, UTG calls $130, UTG+1 calls $130, BTN calls $130

FLOP ($650) 9 6 2

Hero bets $647, UTG raises to $1,308 (AI), UTG+1 folds, BTN folds, Hero calls $73 (AI)

TURN ($2,090) 9 6 2 9

RIVER ($2,090) 9 6 2 9 T

Hero shows A 3 A 3
(Pre 73%, Flop 14.0%, Turn 12.5%)

UTG shows 2 6 2 3
(Pre 27%, Flop 86.0%, Turn 87.5%)

UTG wins $2,087

Re: ***HSPLO QUICK CHECKUP THREAD***

With 3 players behind i think it's a mandatory check...
Villains being whale/fish i think hurt us instead of helping us because if UTG was facing your shove and he had a naked T hi flush draw he might think " **** i can't call, i have 2 players behind" and that's a big gain for you when people fold so much equity. But in this situation where a whale will just say " lol, i have a fd, call" , it will actually hurts your eq multiway a lot.

I think your plan must be stick it in vs 1 player but get away if 2 or more players get it in... As played, results would be probably the same, but i think flop check and decide is superior

urubu the question you are asking is should i gamble with half of my Roll (this hand) or not and only you can answer this not others.

Is this a close spot between a call and a fold, knowing that stick will get it in lighter then most other regs (if i call)?

Re: ***HSPLO QUICK CHECKUP THREAD***

thoughts on shoving it? Give stickman a range-you know MOP has aa, a rundowns and good kings and sticky never has aa. I think the JJ88 will be dominating a bunch of his range-but still not sure what the right play is.

Im sure theres ways you can justify calling-like odds of hitting flop hard enough to get in + being an easy decision with your hand + a very good chance of seeing the turn also.

Id fold in your situation urubu.
