everyone saying check just because we got c/r big and now seems fold is the best play.

ya it sucks hard, but i still think cbet/fold is the best play.

calling w/ anything less then A 8 seems pretty light to me. cant see much he bluffing w/ here and pretty much his whole range strong enough to bluff catch if he doesnt believe u.

Is he even value raising A8 here?
I guess we have to call A8 just for the blockers.

    turn is a trivial raise

too passiv for my taste. turn river are fairly standard imo. would bet half pot+ on flop and probably 4 bet too, but see merits in just calling as well, if he cR lots of flops. if he doesn`t, I 4bet to 650...and block a 6 and 9 if he has a straightdraw or you have him semidead with underset + many cards kill ur action

As far as repped ranges go, it`s a clear check in his shoes.

mafia why did you jc flop rs? (need some insight from you first)

obviously disguising the strength of his hand on a relatively dry board hoping towelie had AA and they could get it in on turn when the 5 hits, the Spindler strikes again

Personally i think his check is the right play. he's oop and he has 2nd nuts... he knows its unlikely that i have a flush here so he's really just bluff catching at this point

fyp. Towelie is a good player and he doesnt step out of line very often. For me to raise the flop here just doesnt seem optimal as the only thing i see him really getting it in with are A hi-fd's, wraps and sets.

I strongly feel that my line here is good but i just want to see how many people in this thread would disagree with me

mafeia you're crushing the bottom of his range and flipping with the top of his range..
thats all, still you minimized ur loss in this case fwiw, i just dont like the missed value vs lower sets, etc

yeah i understand but i feel that's an unlikely case and most of the time he doesnt have a set here

so u called the flop rs for value? if so i dont get it..if he is solid hes not betting paired turns there with a marginal hand..plus i think raising turn vs "solidness" with top set is good play, no?

..also if the board pairs on the turn how do you proceed? chk trn, b/r riv?

What hands are hero turning into a bluff that makes Villain's check on the river with the second nuts so good? Also what would you jam in Villain's shoes?

how do you always have a set is my first question and my second question is how do you always play it so badly
