Any guys going for the "pedo-lookalike" challenge this November?

It's a constant effort from my part so I'm in.

I got into Vegas last night and am staying couple weeks, if anyone is in the area and wants to meet up pm me.

I watched the movie Edge of Tomorrow (posthumously renamed Live. Die. Repeat.) on the plane, thought it was excellent. Think it was about as good as a big-budget Hollywood sci-fi action movie could be. I thought the idea to use the premise of "Groundhog Day" in an action movie was ingenious. The script could have easily got bogged down or gotten overly complicated or redundant, but they did a terrific job keeping things moving along and wrapping it up in 1hr40.

The special effects were impressive, and Tom Cruise and all the other actors gave very good performances. Cruise's reverse-aging is pretty ridiculous at this point, guy looks just as good and youthful in this movie as he did in Top Gun which came out in 1985.

Enjoy vegas man, dont degen too hard!! Obv not around else would drop you a line. Gonna check out that film now as i have some time to kill.

One of my best friends got engaged yesterday. We are definitely going to Vegas for the Stag Do. I've never been before, would people recommend booking any shows we fancy and tables at nice restaurants before hand? And don't worry, there will be a whole load of degening as well

Def check out some shows and do you research before hand. Rly wish I did the dune buggy thing in desert last time I went. Would be good for a stag do.

Didn't realize the director was a woman or that she also made Looper. But it makes sense because Looper was another extremely good and innovative action movie. Never watched Adjustment Bureau, didn't think it was supposed to be good, but I checked the RT page just now and it got 70% positive reviews so I guess I'll try it out.

Yeah, I've talked to Joe about meeting up in Vegas, I might do his podcast live w/ him while we're here. We are also in discussions to do some sort of prop bet while we're here. A best-of-5 or best-of-7 multi-activity prop bet.

Some of the stuff we've talked about are basketball, dancing competition (his idea, I'll probably veto this one), play $ online poker battleshiping, 2-3 hr session at 1-2 NL same table whoever has most chips in front of them at end wins, hiking race to top of mtn, and "hooker not a hooker" guessing competition.

Clearly the only battle option between joey+crash is a daylight sober best of 11 connect4 battle / big gurl grinding combo game.

ie have it somewhere in the middle of a mall, podcast cast it, everytime one of heros loses a connect4 battle... he has to go big gurl grinding in the shopping mall with the podcast following his every move.

Obv you both need entourages of at least 20+ to maximize the connect4 atmosphere...

We flew in Friday morning and out sunday afternoon.

Hummer Limos from the airport to your hotel are a must lol.

Don't buy the "coupons" from the cabbies, you can find them for free at restaurants and on the street.

We stayed off the strip to save money, didn't regret it as you're just a free hotel shuttle away.

There are cheap breakfast buffets everywhere, take advantage of them.

I wouldn't recommend going to the big name strip clubs (Scores and Sapphires I believe) as they were just jammed to the walls with people. We ended up going to Club Paradise across from the Hard Rock and our group of 10 was practically the only people in the place, which made us top priority.

Didn't do any shows or check out any clubs. We basically gambled, drank and explored on day one, gambled, drank and hit the rippers on day two and flew home on day three. Great time, need to go back soon.

Don't forget your Ed Hardy t-shirt, Von Dutch hat and enormous sunglasses!

It was pretty awesome way to arrive lol. Cost us each something like 10 bucks each, which is basically nothing when you're prepared to spend many hundreds over the course of your trip.

I'm sure you'll have a blast.
