Re: ***High Stakes PLO BBV Thread***

2 reasons for potting, even though it appears pot woulda actually been 450, would be 1-to look less obvious and 2- to hopefully discourage a 4 way pot and try and get it HU or 3 way. Folding is also super standard like someone said cause you don't want to show the garbagey hand being 3bet. Again, just circumstantial evidence tho but if ipoker could check his hand out and he has pure garbage it'd be pretty easy to tell what's going on

Re: ***High Stakes PLO BBV Thread***

fuuuck me i'm on some run...

so far this year i've had:

a cold on/off for months,
an ear infection,
gastroitis,
a sinus infection,
some neck injury which was a right pain in teh hole,
a chest infection,
a stomach ulcer,
and now i've just found out i have coeliac disease, meaning im allergic to wheat and gluten.

so that's byebye to my standard 9 weetabix breakfast and at least half of my diet. also gotta find a good gluten-free beer now cuz heineken has traces of gluten

to top it off, since the start of march i'm 90 BI's below ev playing midstakes after having already been 250k+ below ev from january and have pretty much given up on poker for now...gonna have to play again sooner rather than later (or more to the point, win sooner rather than later) but just cba atm. too burnt out.

pretty sure to make up for all this i'll be banging scarlet johansson any day now.

despite all that, im having a pretty good year irl (whenever i've been healthy enough to function...which actually hasn't been often now i think abiout it). just as long as i don't think about my ever-dwindling health and financial ruin

living completely alone for the first time has been cool. haven't been playing much poker so i've been out and about alot. waking up earlier. getting to know new ppl. playing pool again and i used to be pretty good/obsessed so that's been fun. working out a decent amount. doing plenty of cardio too so I'm feeling good (again, when I've not been sick). spending alot of money. also had a good run of scoring on most nights out before i stopped being able to drink.

knowing that i just have to change my diet (albeit, completely) and i should be healthy again has me optimistic too.

If you're into cooking, changing your diet shouldn't be too difficult, as you can make plenty of tasty food gluten-free.

Re: ***High Stakes PLO BBV Thread***

Adiprene, I had a similar issues as you with sinus infections, really persistent colds etc before I was diagnosed as gluten intolerant a year and a half back. I was pretty pissed of in the beginning, but it actually turned out to be really good for me as once switched to a Paleoish diet and went of all grains I actually felt better than I ever had before. As in I now almost never get sick, have more energy, sleep less etc. I know bread is pretty damn tasty, but not being sick is pretty awesome too. Also, you can definitively find good gluten free beer, but at least here in Sweden you pretty much have to order it over the internet since most bars don't carry it.
