time for another bbv post already

so this year hasn't started out too well...

lost ~140k yesterday (ev +10k), mostly to a fish hu. ran so bad i was in shock. weird thing is that i got over the whole situation in like an hour and just didn't care anymore, then starting grinding 3/6 and 5/10...where i lost too but w/e

really feel like im a favourite in the 50/100 games too so really sucks that i've lost the ability to grind those games...would be big favourite i think if i stopped playing 3 handed w every genius like i have something to prove.

some will proly say i was bound to run bad this month cuz i obv ran hot last month, but i still finished the year below ev, i just closed the gap alot.

none of it matters though, only thing that's tilting me atm is the 6k deposit limit pokerstars has that i can't increase.

gonna throw in my 320k below ev lifetime 50/100 graph too cuz ...i don't know why. makes me feel better i suppose.

5/10 6max is where i'll be for a while i think, which is fine. glgl

^ewwwwww. Sorry mate

Seeing that graph vs the fish gives me such a better perspective when I start thinking how can I run so bad sometimes... Great to see you're in good spirits though! Best of luck.

edit: what a ridiculous game...

Does anyone else see a lot of similarities between Adi's situation now and DB's one from exactly a year back?

They are similar situations, but I think adi's been building huge rolls quickly from very little and then going on a downswing and losing a ton back as a matter of course several times and for a long while now, whereas db was just a steady build for 1-2 years and then unexpected crash during a short while culminating in a 500/1k shot against gus going horribly wrong, so not exactly the same, except in the sense of making lots of money and then losing quite a bit of it back.

not really, adi seems way more cognizant of the fact that he's taking high risk short rolled gambles and is fine rebuilding at lower stakes

Wrong thread but CB's post reminded me to ask.
I play Bet24. Been a customer since they started more then 10 years ago(did betatesting of their software as well) and never had any problems what so ever. But they do market towards scandis so that might be why Ive never had a problem. I play through one of the bigger affiliates that use Bet24 as a skin(actually dont remember its name cos my friend fixes all that stuff for me).

Any crazy hands to tell us about?
This was the biggest bluff I’ve ever made in my career. I raised pre-flop to $100,000 on the button and the small blind re-raised me to $320,000. I called – I had, like, $15,000,0000 in front of me, and the flop came down 10-7-3 rainbow. The SB was an aggressive player who C-bets loads of flops – probably too many – but he just really quickly checked, without thinking about his decision at all. I had a gutshot with the 8h6h, so I just thought I’d go ahead and bet, expecting him to check-fold, but he check-called. I think he had, like, a seven or pockets eights, even some ace-highs – something like that. The turn was a three, which was a good card for me because in my head I was already like, “I’m going to give him two more barrels.” I bet $1.1m and he raised me to $3.8m. I think he’s trying to rep pocket sevens or tens here, but I didn’t think he would ever play them like that; he would have just bet on the flop. He would try to build the pot because he has no showdown value because he’s out of position. So I’m pretty sure he’s bluffing and I just call, which is how I would play it if I had a full house. I had it in my head that he would never bluff again on the river. Sure enough, he checked the jack on the river and I moved all in for about $8m into a pot of a similar amount. He folded after a 30-second tank. I still don’t know what he had and why he was thinking about calling. Maybe he caught a jack. Anyway, it was the biggest bluff of my life. I don’t think I’ll ever be bluffing that much again.
