Not entirely untrue. Apologies for outing your SN, I kinda thought it was already out (it had been mentioned earlier) and you didn't ask me to keep it a secret or anything. I believe it would have come out anyway, and it wasn't with ill intent. I hoped to help you.

IIRC, you seemed to have gone MIA not too long after getting a Stars sponsorship.
I went MIA around the same time as I lost my Stars contract, not around when I got it. Both were around a year ago from now. I broke up with my fiancee and relocated cities so I was dealing with selling the house and the move and all that jazz and there wasn't much poker related stuff at all going on. I traveled a lot.
Games have obviously gotten a lot tougher and I really couldn't have been bothered playing at all for almost all of last year. I pretty much just took an extended break from it all, and had mediocre (winning small) results whenever I did try to dabble in it again.
Poker is also essentially banned in Australia, won't be long before the option to play online on any major site is gone and I have no real interest to play online poker anymore anyway. The prospect of bots and #amaya and the future outlook of online poker being so bleak hasn't done much to make me want to give being an online pro a chance again.
These days I play in live games (never thought I'd see the day), and have been loving it. It's much more social and the games are generally great. I'm exploring non-poker long term options. I had a great decade-ish as a poker pro but I feel it's time to move on to something else for me now. I'll almost always still play poker part-time/to some extent, but highly unlikely to be SNE-like hours ever again.
