Hero was dealt AsKh5s7h in MP (1500 stack) cut off has 2000


Straddle pot, utg middle position all limp. I limp as well. Cut off raise to 40. 7 players total calls his raise to 40, including me.


Flop comes 3h4s5h. Giving me a pair and gutshot and second nut flush draw and runner runner nut flush draw. Everybody check. Cut off bets pot for 300. I decided to just call because he had to have a straight there or some kind of combo draw. So my plan was call his flop bet and if turn comes straight i get it in and if flush comes check and reevaluate. If nothing comes i fold.

Turn comes 6c giving me a second nut straight. I get it in for remainder of my stack which is about $1000and he ended up having a nut straight with a678. He didnt have flush draw.

Should i have folded flop? I know on the turn i cant get away but should i have folded flop????

Betting into an 8 way pot has to almost always be the nuts or a combo draw with the A high flush draw.

It sucks but I would fold the flop.

Fold flop but raise pre in order to limit number of players. If you don't raise pre you have to play absolute nuts or not play flops with that many players
