Re: deeeeep stack, god why you put me in this spot?!?

jfc, has someone hijacked your account with these threads lately?

call the 4bet pre, your kings are terrible....

pot flop and i'm ok with getting it all in on flop if re-potted

as played, please check/fold turn...one nut draw and second pair on a drawy board.

the way you played the flop you should have commited yourself to easily folding that turn (leading with check).

So let me guess...you hit a red 9 to bink it right?
results oriented FTW

This is just silly. Building a pot with KK against a monster fish is great, and we're deep enough we still have a huge SPR on the flop when we get 3-bet.

I think it's just a call vs. the 4-bet though. The thing is that playing weak KK face up as AA/KK 1.7 PSB deep is only a very thinly profitable spot. However, getting stacks all-in pre with this hand is a hugely profitable spot. Therefore, even if villain only spew 5-bets 1/3 of the time or so, it's still more profitable to play it that way than to put yourself in a situation where you're almost always stuck with these awkward stacks.

sry,but what is this raise good for?
taking down blinds is prolly below 10%......

are we raising utg+1 for building a pot....?
our 60/40 pre will make up for being oop 600bb`s deep....?
we know, that we`ll most likely get 4bet.....we know calling sucks,5betting sucks...

plus our hands flops really great....all kings and flushes let us not bluff.......

leave automodus and openfold this hand....adapt to table conditions
or limp...whatever

I just think 5 betting this hand puts urubu in so many difficult spots flop

For those checking the flop what are you doing if Villain pots the flop? Urubu?

Re: deeeeep stack, god why you put me in this spot?!?

I definitely think the school of thought where we..>"wait for a better spot" [feel kinda sick saying that..] has some merit when we are 600bb deep with a huge, huge fish and we cant rebuy to cover if we bust.

Not sure that we will be making enough $ev this way to justify the large amount of times we are down to 100bb vs his 1300 bb

That said, I still 5 bet alot of the time, and I definitely shove flop once I get there, and yeah turn is most straightforward decision once you there

i kind of agree with this, but i think it's a little much. if btn was 3betting up to ~40%, i like either limping or open folding from hijack wiht this hand.

but when he's 3betting 65% (!), we just have too much of a hand and need to open/4bet for isolation even 600 deep.

flop is a gross spot which im not certain how to evaluate. i think in the moment id just pot/call, since that's very +ev and unexploitable, but perhaps not optimal.

Are you actually jedimaster!!?

Flop is pretty easy pot imo

Also, I really think you can fold pre when Roy pumps it to $355, but opening is super standard

Being against a giant fish who's got a range of top 65% of hands will make up for being OOP 600bb deep. We wanna at least be shallow enough to get stacks in if we flop a king. We obv wanna have play, but there will still be plenty after getting 3-bet.

Re: deeeeep stack, god why you put me in this spot?!?

Isn't there something to be said for lowering variance just a little bit to conserve our great spot at the table, being really deep with this kind of fish? You cant just buy in 600bb again and I would think this spot should be treated sorta like a tournament life in a super soft tournament.

Re: deeeeep stack, god why you put me in this spot?!?

opening those kings is worth 1-2 bb at an AVERAGE table....
here we`ve close to 0 FE...subtract 0.2bb
3 out of 4 we gonna loose possibility of cbetting (supposed we don`t 4bet).....subtract 1.2bb
being that deep....subtract generous

plus having fish covered has so much value.....

opening this is just wrong....if u are not capable of folding.....limp!

Re: deeeeep stack, god why you put me in this spot?!?

how do you quantify the average bb/100 a hand will give u preflop jaop and why do you assume these numbers go down with this tables conditions

fwiw i dont disagree with u just curious

i think u might be right, but however this is just to negative.
if you add all the -, then you for sure have to add a big + somewhere in ur calc for if we make some sort of hand post vs the whale.
