1k effective stacks. I'm in the CO with 2356. UTG+1 raises to 20, 2 callers, I call, btn calls, BB calls.

Flop (120)

478

Everyone checks to me, I bet 80. BTN calls, everyone else folds

Turn (280)

5

BTN is a reg that used to play bigger but has moved down and seems to be a winning player at 5/5. He's stone faced and barely speaks any english so there is no chance of getting any kind of read on him.

I feel like all I have are bad options, c/f seems incredibly weak, c/c leaves me in an impossible spot on the river, Getting it in here if I bet and he raises seems spewy when a lot of the time I'm drawing dead, and at best have to dodge a ton of outs. B/f seems bad too but potentially the least bad.

(yes I know fold pre, but the game was very tight and reg infested so I felt like opening up my range in late position needed to be done, perhaps going and playing something else is the best option when the game is like this)

Opening up your range IP is "okay" but this hand is just too weak to call, 3bet or play any other way than a fold preflop.

You probably have to bet/ fold here, there is still plenty of value in getting calls from sets, JT9x type hands etc. And even some 2p combos that pick up diamonds or think you can bluff enough here. It should feel pretty good to fold if raised it's not likely villain is going to bluff or value raise many worse combos if at all here.

Agree with SolarAU. This is not a hand you want to "open up" your play with. Bet/fold turn is good. Evaluate river.

Just curious, why didn't you pot flop? It's so rare in my games that people bet less than pot, especially with very vulnerable nuts.

+1 to the 2 posters above

hands like this don't play well 6 ways in single raised pots

Calling w/ 6532 in a reg infested game and worrying about your ego on such a ****ty turn is incredibly weak.
