Eff $1200 Rock is on the btn.
V limps in UTG1. Euro aggressive solid thinking player. Usually comes in for a raise if first one in. UTG2 is rec and limps. HJ rec limps. Hero is in CO with AAQ3 and raise to $60. I am viewed as nitty. Btn folds. All call.

Flop ($250)
772
Checks through.

Turn ($250)
772Q
Checks to hero. Hero bets $135. UTG1 calls. Others fold.

River ($520)
772Q4
V leads $400. Hero tank calls.

Can you explain why you're snap calling? His lead seems pretty ridiculous as a bluff on this board?

There are no draws of any sort and the river changes nothing. I'm at least putting some serious thought before calling. And you block his Qxxx hands as well

I actually wrote that out wrong. I tank called. I did not snap call.

You are right, the river didn't change anything. The thing that made me think was V checked through the flop and the turn, multiway. Wouldn't V want to bet on the turn to get a little value? Or is checking trips on the turn standard? With an A/Q kicker, he should be betting. Maybe he was checking with trips, weak side cards.

I think if he's a thinking regular... Which sounds like he knows how to be a bit non GTO. He may assume you have over pair and will bet it on the turn if it checks through. Instead of raising for value on turn and giving away his hand, he just nonsensically bet big on river.

If it's unknown I'm definitely calling but based on your description, this seems like a ridiculous bluff line and it would be crazy for him to show up with worse in this spot

He basically knows you have lots of over pairs in your range and what draw or hand, is calling you on the turn?

That now decides to lead river?

Sick play too. Sick sick. I'm a fan due to board texture. He doesn't have to protect his hand from anything so no reason to lead turn

i think betting the flop is better and checking turn as played is fine to bluff catch river but this is higher variance so its not bad

river is close the flop was 277 so only beat by the 7 but its PLO, abt 50/50 lol

Pretty standard fold unless we think villain overbluffs

this is a great spot for villain to bluff but not a great spot to float the turn and this isnt a good float spot to begin with unless he has an ace in his hand

i think fold is best otr but plo players are very tricky and its a super good runout to run a float because it looks so bad

but the average player is never going that far so fold almost always

he limp called utg so there are less sevens than QQs in his range

anyway, always bet flop imo...you have AA and tge flop is 772 so you are good enough of the time to bet
