villain 1 - has been playing tight. this is the first time i have played with him and from what i have been told it is only his second time playing in this game. seems scared money.

villain 2 - i have played with him quite a bit. mostly at big o, not plo. he is a very good, tight reg. one of the bigger winners in the game for sure.

we are stuck, but not buried. mostly have a tight image and i haven't really gotten out of line.

V1 (utg) - $1200
Hero (co) - $1000
V2 (bu) - covers

we have KQJT

pre:
V1 limps, 2 more limpers. we raise to $30. V2 looks like he is about to fold, but ends up calling. V1 calls.

flop: $110 - 3 ways
QJ4
V1 checks, we bet $100. V2 thinks and calls. V1 calls.

turn: $310 - 3 ways
6
V1 checks, we pot it. both Vs call.

river: $1240 - 3 ways
6
V1 checks. hero?

i would think that if either villain had flopped a set that they would have bet/raised/cr such a brick turn at least, if not the flop. hard to see how anyone ends up here with 6s full either. and i would assume unless one of them has AAXX or KKXX that no one gets to the river with just AA or KK to counterfeit my top 2p.

we have less than 1/2 a psb left.

all in and pray for a fold?

I would check, half pot might not be enough to bluff out hands like aa/kk that might fold for more, also a lot of villains might not jam non-top set on such a wet board

if V2 is very good he'll snap you with anything that beats you anyway given the odds, you're repping very thin and all draws bricked

Flop/ turn is fine, river is a check since nothing better should be folding to a half pot river shove.

Betting the river is the epitome of "I don't want to check fold but I don't want to check call so I bet" kind of bet.

Can't we check call? Given live read, how often does V2 actually have us beat? AA/KK would never fold pre, and flatting two streets with a set seems weird.

I take OP's comments about the guy about to fold with a grain of salt. Even if he (villian) did act like that it hardly means he was actually going to do it. It could have all been an elaborate ruse and / or op just read too much into something.

Even if his live tell isn't reliable, it's hard to give this guy credit for an overpair that just improved to a better two pair. Maybe something like KKTx. I'd stick with my check/decide strat.

Isn't the pot $410 on the turn?
