v1 (bb) is middle aged indian guy whos here with his friend. Handing money away like its christmas. Doesnt fold preflop.

v2 (to my right) is reg, bought in for max, probably around 4k right now

me (button): 3k not very aggressive, but picks my spots somewhat. New to PLO though i play some of the bigger NLHE games at the casino. rec player.
pick up 101066 on button. utg straddle, mid position makes it 60, it goes 7 way to flop.

K64dd flop. checks to v2 who makes it 300, i call and BB calls

10c turn. Check check to me ... i tank bet 600. v1 thinks for quite a while and shoves for 620. V2 thinks for a couple mins and calls, i call the extra 20.

River 8s. v2 fires 1100.

WTF do i do?

Why did you bet so small on the turn? You have the effective nuts but not that many outs to improve.

yea i think biggest idiot decision in this hand was not folding pre. Im still getting used to this insane game, so obviously my sizing at times sucks.

easy advice is if you wanna bet ott just use one sizing. pot

Obv big mistake is turn sizing. Multiway postflop, most PLO is simply pot it with nuts and 3 people still get odds to draw. Huge pot, highest equity is 34%. Roll the dice. Winner gets a holiday, a handjob and a coke habit; loser gets trolled on 2p2.

the 300 turn bet is a good idea as long as v1 actually ships it in, and i agree the whole hand was horrendous.

Is is risky because V1 could only flat, but is a serious turn option, again, it was better create a poll.

think tt66 is probably slightly -ev vs most mp opens but not that big a deal

I think 300 on turn is FPS, but I get the idea. Pot turn, and deal with results. Folding TT66 pre for 1 bet seems awfully bad.

what does this mean? Is there a concrete expected value playing 101066 vs mp open? I am just not sure you play poker.

you can filter your ptr or hem and see tt66 cold call vs mp /ep in 6m and u will see your winrate if you have a decent sample.

otherwise especially at BTN:

66 not good for setmining because u never make top set for the nuts OTF
but obvious straight blockers to many medium flop when we dont hit trips, and trust me if there is a board requiring a 6to have a straight (eg 578 or 457 or 357 -589 ) on any flop + turn or from turn +unimproved river , , with a 2 street PSB and eventually raise a PSB in between u often will take it down

TT make sufficient powerful sets. and easy to get ppls to call you with straight draw when it comes like 9Tx.. or 8Tx OTF

- KK unlikely so you have the nuts OTF and OTT
- u dont have improvements because u self block your full house outs

biggest mistake is OTT - bet the POT

as played easy Fold river - decision made easier by one person already all in OTT and no actual side pot: he has unlikely 2 pairs as SDV because of your double trips, from there with no side pot - it would be spewy to push u out of pot without an actual hand that beats u!

In PLO , to make it simple to start : always make at least 3/4 pot size bet with position.

Do not hesitate to Repot or raise X3.5 (in HU) when u raise someone.
in multi way pots when you are ahead - please Pot.

I searched for a backer because of issues with my girlfriend. Not because I wasn't beating the game, if you had read the post properly. I could give you a couple credible sources on my win rate in that game being over 100$/h. Can anyone justify this being -ev? Your posts are always extremely short and just always the obvious answer. Never any insight at all which is why I question if you play at all. The reason for these posts are to create insight on what and why is the best play. Fold pre doesn't help anyone bud.

I just can't see playing this from the button deep for a single raise as unprofitable for a decent player.
