Ok this is a legit question. calling from SB sucks hard. i prob should have 3b pre but i didnt

hero 1300 v covers, btn covers

table is playing very very tight, only person calling a lot is btn so consider his calling range to be very wide and we arent ever worried about what he has

straddle is only playing AA or folding, SB is on a micro stack 550 or so and playing tight

CO raises to 40, BTN calls

hero flats sb A9J7

2 folds

flop

A83

CO bets 100
BTN calls 100

ok so folding is fine, maybe even raising, i decide to call

turn T

hero?

assuming you are not folding pre, do you play this the same so far and what to do now?

As played jamming turns. With that kind of stack size you should be reraising pre to POT and GII most flops

I thought abot folding flop but its very close. I have a LOT of good turns and i believe i have the best hand sometimes. Its very very close tho and agree the flop call is very thin. In fact i think its an easy GII now and run it twice.

The turn really isnt interesting but the flop is. Half the deck is a good card for me i rhink

Also, i know a spade is bad, so i can just give up on turned spades, so even tho its thin im not losing a lot of money on later streets when i dont have best hand

Turn is not a clear raise at a tight table...

When we 3bet pre what do we do post?
Bet 1/2 pot then call raise? bet pot and commit? check?
if we bet 1/2 pot then turn is a brick for us what do we do?

Kind of like leading turn here.

We're going with our hand anyway on the turn but leading puts some of the other value stuff (say A3/A8/AK etc) in a tough spot and also doesn't allow draws to check back and see their equity for free on the river.

Assuming I flat pre, I fold flop.

As played, leading or check/raising turn are both good options. Not so sure I like the check/call because I want to use some FE.

Not flatting pre just to fold to flop cbet unless I am missing something about the hand. Seems like there are two small blinds though given the description.

Seems fine as payed. I'd pot the turn. I don't want a free spade hitting the river and I think we have a lot of fold equity. If we get jammed its fine. If we get called rivers are mostly strait-forward.

Fold flop. As played, check turn. Think about what betting the turn accomplishes - it either builds the pot, or gives pressure for opponents to fold.

If you bet and get one or two callers, you're in an awkward spot when you river two pair, have to wonder whether you'll get paid if you river a flush, and are likely x/folding any paired board or spade.

Betting into two people in turn is the worst mistake you can make here. Think position when making preflop decisions.
