5-5-10 7 handed.
Hero has 2k V1 and V2 cover.
V1 - fish, great for the game. Two hands previously he 4 bet a tight old guy with AQ36 diamonds - also got 75% of his stack in pre with J894 vs 3 players and binked.

V2 - Thinking player when it comes to his own hand strength, can play accordingly post flop but has pre flop leaks. EG - called 5 bet of 640 pre with AKJ4 ds hu and the guy had 250 behind. He folded to flop shove. Also seen him bluff a river twice when checked to and he was called both times.

Hero is perceived as thinking player who has shown down solid hands and has been caught bluffing once. I have been pretty active in 3 betting the guy to my right who is a fish and have pot 4 bet kings twice over someone's all in to get HU.

Folds round to hero who raises to 40 with KAQA
V1 3 bets to 140
V2 flats
Folds round to hero. Now option is to 3 bet 420 more (560) total which means I'm probably gonna be shoving any flop as I'm 80% V1 will call so V2 will. I decide to flat OOP (thoughts?)

Flop comes 974

Hero?? Lead or check?

Will wait for replies before continuing the hand.

What positions are everyone in?

You have the best hand pre, push the small advantage and get more money in

Bet/call

If opponents will always bet check/raise is a bit better but we don't want to risk giving free cards

Pretty clear four bet pre. I would check raise now.

i know it`s booring, but first: this is a 100% 4bet

If V1 has a high cbet-frequency i would go for a check-raise now. If V1 is passive flop player i would pot-donk it.

If the flop gets checked, the turn will make things only worth for you. If the board pairs you don`t feel comfortable. If the straight completes, you don`t feel comfortable. If your heart comes, you usually don`t get action.

If you donk it and get raised, you have decent equity even against a set. So no need to be scared. But there are also some hands that you are crushig and who are willing to give you action overpair with flushdraws, toppair flushdraw, straightflushdraw combos, two pairs... these will make up for the times you run into a set.

Always a 4 bet here. Leaves 1 or 1.5 psb otf and yeah you would bet out almost always. Its not ideal since theres not much poker being played .. just ride the variance train.

As played you've chosen to play oop with a higher SPR so now you may have decisions on all streets.

At first glance I like the check raise since the hands we dominate may well bet. On further reflection getting checked back otf is painful. I don't want to be in bluff catching mode with this hand when we could be getting it in oft at worst a small dog. Bet pot and since we expect sets to raise otf, plan to go again on all turns which aren't a non-heart 6 or J. Check call for the flush on those.

Re-raise pre-, flop bet out if players are passive and c/rai if ppl like to attack when checked to.

4 betting with this hand would be standard even if you were a dirty old face up nit but the fact you're shown you're capable of 4 betting non aces pre is even more of a reason to do so.

I'm ok with a flat pre here if we aren't getting this headsup. Obv 4-betting and shipping most flops is the standard play, but against villains who play bad we can cut variance down with similar EV by not 4 betting. 4 betting 25% of stacks always carries heavy RIO 3 ways, even with boss AAxx like we have.

As played, x/r since we have a pretty good shot at squeezing V2 in between. If V2 is before V1 then i'd prefer a lead. If it checks through which seems pretty unlikely we still have all our options on turns.
