Just curious, how much stronger would you want this hand to be for you to play on the button? T988? T688ds? I would probably normally call pre, is that a big mistake?

Also, it sucks to throw away middle set but fold flop.

Cole has a good point about reverse implied odds this deep. We're flipping with a monster draw or drawing to a case 8 almost always. fold

Anyone ever call here with middle set with the idea of shoving when a str8 draw or flush draw complete turn? As deep as we are top set can fold? Sounds like a real bad idea but just curious.

The stacks are deep enough for naked top set to consider a fold if the opponent (1) doesn't believe you would bluff in such a spot; and (2) doesn't think you would commit the rest of your stack if he just calls and the board pairs on the river. But you would also have to have a rather convincing soulread that he *only* has top set and not one of the aforementioned combination draws.

Top set is bet/folding the turn pretty close to never. He's either bet/calling or check/calling.

I was kind of leaning that way also. My thought was if I can't find a way to win this pot other than going to showdown, I think folding to the flop raise is best because there is hardly any turn cards that I feel great about and a blank might actually be the worst turn card for you in reality.

Interesting responses, and it seems the concensus here is to fold, mainly due to the reverse implied odds vs KK and having no idea where we're at on pretty much most turns.

I tank folded

Just wondering CTS, how shallow would stacks have to be till your answer changes to call and reeval turn?

If stacks are shallower, would you change your answer?
