I would have bet more on both the flop and turn. The 7-4 combo on the flop means any 3, 5, 6, 8 makes you potentially unhappy, especially with two villains. Betting almost a PSB on both flop and turn does two things: (1) charges them to hit those straights and (2) simplifies your play on the river because you'll have less than $100 left in a $500 pot and you just insta-call and say "Nice hand, sir."

As played, yes, call - he could be betting worse for value or taking a stab at a very nice pot.

Bet more on the flop, bet 90% of the pot on the turn and jam the rest in on the river.
