Wow. Shipping turn is insane. With his line i think he has nuts+redraw quite a bit. Calling is proly best, but folding is most def better than raising.

Didn't realize just how deep we are. Yeah, not raising. Just thought he'd have a lot of QK+spades, AKQJ hands, etc but seeing as he just flatted pre it's more unlikely.

I think if you wanna call here you need to have 89xx in your turn flatting range.

Agree with this and think flatting our weaker 98 is std here.

doubt it changes the % of times villain bets on a river brick (100%), not sure there is enough nekkid 98xx in villain's range for us to profitably bluff "good" rivers either if we call. Like we're always checking QKT9 w spades if the river comes Ao for example in villain's shoes or if they had 98xx with fd and flush came.

prob just fold in vacuum, I often shove a hand like this at these stack depths vs unknown regs to take our equity and to create a history tho

Ya, if you know opponent and pot sized raise on flop and bet on turn = nuts, then play accordingly. Boat mining on the river typically won't be profitable fwiw.

I'm also leaning towards a fold on the turn.

I was debating whether or not I can bluff spades profitably if he checks.

Not saying that cbetting this one is bad but obviously you get raised a lot on this board by AKQ98 kind of hands and NF+GS especially when you are cbetting tons. Villain is probably calling at least one with bare 98 so he has more draws than made hands in his range and heros hand is the at the top of heros flop b/c range.

As played call turn and any brick river is probably better than shoving turn as villain will slow down with 98 on scare cards and barrel all his air.

Just saying that betting this board without having a plan for further streets seems kinda suboptimal.
