Hey guys,
This has been cropping up a bit lately, and could use a little advice.
I'm in a loose, aggressive game where I get about half my stack in preflop with AAxx and then proceed to get called multiway. Then bet into on the flop.
Last night:
5-5 PLO with $10 button straddle.
SB: calls $10,
BB: calls $10,
UTG: raises to $40
UTG+1: calls $40
Flux makes it $190 ($400 starting stack) with A
A
2
2
Everyone calls. Pot is about $960.
Flop: J
J
8
SB and BB check, UTG checks, UTG+1 shoves ($600), and I have about $210 left.
Now, I know I'm getting over 5.5:1 on my money. That my SPR is negligible, and that general folklore suggests anything less than an SPR of 1 is pretty much a snap shove postflop with aces. But the villain likely has a jack, there are two other villains behind me, and there is a possibility most of my potential outs (runner-runner flushes, deuces) might already be useless.
This is a bit of an extreme case, but if someone could point to a post, or offer their thoughts on multiway, postflop scenarios with low SPRs and AAxx, I would be indebted.
All abuse appreciated.
Best,
Flux
(ps I basically gave myself 2 outs for the Aces (8%) and half the outs for the remainder, one out for the flush draws (4%), and one out for the deuces (4%) ... for 16% equity. And a crying call.)
