10/20 PLO w Middle Set DEEP

This is a crosspost from another forum.
Quote:
Hand is an interesting spot someone else had in my game today. Villan is in his 30s who I am pretty sure has never played on the internet ever, but has played a ton of live poker experience (both NL and PLO). Things I know about Villan:

-He is a regular in these games who buys in deep.
-For the most part, he is solid when a lot of money starts going in and usually makes really good value bets in both games.
-He takes some unusual lines when out of position w draws and makes weird blocker bets w marginal hands. Does some really goofy **** in NL, none of which is all too relevant for this hand thou.
-Overall he's slightly on the stationy / spewy side, plays a lot of hands, very willing to gamble when necessary, not really scared money.
-Becomes awesome action when he starts tilting. Plays well when he is winning.
-He assumes that we are new to PLO, transitioning from NL. Probably thinks we are playing this game pretty tight and solid.

Both Hero and Villan are $10,000 deep at $10/20 half n half.

2 limps to Villan on BTN who makes it $120 to go. Hero in BB calls w KK T T, both limpers call. 4 way to flop

Flop: Q T 7 (Pot: $480)
Hero leads for $360. Limpers fold. Villan raises pretty quickly to $1400. Hero tanks for a bit and then calls (thoughts??)

Turn: QT 7 5 (Pot: $3280)
Hero checks, Villan bets $2800. Hero has $8500 behind on turn. Thoughts????

This is a tough spot. I've yet to come up with a plan I really like. My first instinct was to call and c/c blank rivers. Folding seems gross yet so does stacking off 500 BB's with middle set. I dunno. CRAI'ing did cross my mind but I have a hard time coming up with a range for him where this is a good idea. I assume our FE is very close to zero.

ProPokerTools Omaha Hi Simulation
600,000 trials (Randomized)
board: qt75
Hand Pot equity Wins Ties
khkstdtc33.96% 203,7830
qq@20, ahjhk@50, akj@3066.04% 396,2170

edit: obviously he can have other wraps and things like kqjt, I was just trying to get a rough handle on where we were vs. top set/wrap with hearts/ wrap w/o hearts.

CRai. only reason for posting this tho must be that you ran into top set I presume. tough luck.

edit: noticed your note about him betting blockers weak a lot, well then maybe we can call. I still much prefer raising.

also, don't know table dynamics but 3betting pre seems good.

fold flop or x/r turn. when he raises the flop and a blank peels on the turn he will be firing with almost 100 percent of his raising range.
against this type of player who can be messing around on the flop enough I like the x/r turn. He can be doing it with hands like KQJT as well, not just huge wraps.

the thing i dont like is that since we hold KKTT he is less likely to hold AKQJ type of hands ie wraps.
+1 to fold flop or x/r turn.
ps. since we have Kh and KK to go with our middle set I would fold a bit more often then call&ch/push blank

What's wrong with pre? Looks standard to me. I agree that calling flop and CRing turn is best line with the reads given on villain. Against someone nitty, you could just fold the flop, but if villain's got spewy tendencies, and he didn't raise until we got heads-up, we have to assume he's raising a lot wider than top set.

I'd fold turn. But this is live poker so first I'd stare him in the ****ing eyes to see if he tells me something

Re: 10/20 PLO w Middle Set DEEP

board has more draws than ever... i think folding its a huge mistake. im happy stacking off this hand on this perfect turn.

3bet pre btw.

I think your equity range is 56% to 49% to villains 51% to 42% more than 50% of the time so just call flop and CRAI turn.

I think you should fold the flop if this is a lot of money for you, no ther bullets etc. there just arent any turns youre going to be able to play well. otherwise cr allin on turn.

wtf are you people thinking saying fold the flop.
