I havent played online in about 6 years so Im assuming thats standard online?

I cant remember what the rule was at various B&M's but I thought most used the >1/2 original bet rule.

Re: 1/2 live: set+FD OTT, correct play?

The standard in fixed limit games is 1/2 bet.

The standard in pot limit or no limit games is a full bet.

In this case, with rounded figures you have to put around 1450$ to win 1850$ (1500 from V1, 300 from V2 and the 50 you put preflop). Therefore you need to win 44% of the time (1450/3300).
Add to this that someone might have a redraw to his straight (either FD or full draw), my conclusion is that you better fold.
This is wrong. We don't have to put 1450 in, if we call villain can only repot it another 950 or so. We also have a decent chance at getting the rest of villain's stack when we do hit since he'll already have so much in.

Re: 1/2 live: set+FD OTT, correct play?

Sorry Tom1975, I am not that wrong. Assuming that V1 can pot it again (V2 raising to 288 minimum), V1 would raise to 1296, so we should add 1008 to call again. Therefore the total cost for us when we decide to call the 288 is 1296 and not 950.
Granted we can win the rest of villains effective stack (154$) if we hit. Still we need to win 40% of the time to break even. Not worth calling IMO.
