I got an email today from Yahoo about Asking questions to President Obama.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/newsmakers/

Maybe we can get some poker players to get on and ask him to support poker?

Re: President Obama - Answers Questions on Yahoo News Today

I submitted this question:

Recently, the U.S. D.O.J shut down several large online poker sites. Being an avid poker player and US citizen, I feel that this violates my personal freedom. Not only that, but along with thousands of other american poker players, I have not been refunded funds that I deposited onto some of the sites shut down by the D.O.J. What can you do to help us get our funds back and restore our ability to play the game that is american as apple pie?

"It's American as apple pie" yeah if it's American it must be good and thats a really great reason to give while trying to convince the president.

How about pointing out that it's a victimless crime? Or any number of valid points rather than mindless wanking off about your freedom and how "american" it is.

No offense intended...Tough love, constructive criticism, blah blah ****it.

Re: President Obama - Answers Questions on Yahoo News Today

I once spent some time in England. Wanking, to those who don't know, is to masturbate, and a wank is a person who is lazy, worthless or otherwise not very competent.

As for historical accuracy, Sir Wankalot of Arthur's roundtable is the first known recorded wanker. But don't trust me - as far as English history goes, I'm a bit of a wank.

Had I the chance, I'd have asked if him if he thought it fair he broke Illinois law everytime he played poker for money with friends and nothing happened, but Americans face hardships when trying to play online for money.

I disagree. It has shown that US government regulation/legalization/sanctioning (however you want to phrase it) is necessary to better protect the American consumer.
