PPA returning to CPAC

Following last year's success at CPAC, PPA is returning this year. CPAC will be held February 18-20, 2010 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington D.C.

John, Drew, Bryan and I will be there (I will be there Thursday and Friday -- I have to be back in KY for a PPA tournament on Sat. Feb. 20th). Greg Raymer is coming in for an autograph signing session and to participate with us. We'll also have PCs set up for participants to send pro-poker rights letters to state and federal lawmakers.

I expect roughly the following:
  • Thursday: Greg Raymer will have a book signing. Greg, John, Drew, Bryan and I will be there for the whole day answering questions, conducting interviews, and helping participants to send letters.
  • Friday: John, Drew, Bryan and I will be there for the whole day answering questions, conducting interviews, and helping participants to send letters.
  • Saturday: John, Drew, or Bryan will be on hand. Exhibition Hall will be quiet, but PPA will be there answering questions and sending letters to lawmakers. It will probably wrap up around 1 pm.
PPA is working on a reception for either Thursday or Friday evening. I'll post details here once it's set.

If you're in the area, please stop by. I look forward to meeting many of you in person!

I'm in DC, ready to share the poker rights message. As you can see, the booth is set up and ready to go:

CPAC is jamming. Everyone is supportive so far.

I hear Dobson isn't participating because he wanted it to be more "pure", biased in favor of social conservatism. Boo hoo.

Greg Raymer is here, signing autographs. The line is solid, showing the interest of the participants here in our efforts!

Re: PPA returning to CPAC

Thanks Engineer for posting the pics of our booth. I wasn't able to use my blackberry tether down here in the CPAC bunker (converted parking garage) and I wasn’t will in to pay $900 for two days of internet service!

We have had a great response to our message at CPAC and have been able to dispel more than one misnomer about online poker with the crowd/activists.

We’re also going to have our boot and be at the Netroots Nations (www.netrootsnation.org) convention in Las Vegas July 22-25. Love to see you there!

Proud to play,

Drew
