I have to say Storen was pretty sick there, taking care of what Stras left on base. Also, 12 for 12 in leaving runners stranded is awesome.

Nats lose a game tonight like they usually do- in devastating fashion. It's why I started watching them when they came to DC. Every game is a great time!

Offense coming around, hopefully Dunn and Zim stay hot, but man the bullpen really needs the all star break. So terrible lately.

I see this thread isn't very active, but I'm hoping to find out if anyone knows what the situation is like for buying tickets from resellers outside Nationals Stadium. It appears to be highly illegal in Washington DC to resell tickets (wtf), and I'm wondering if I should lock up tickets to tonight's game before heading over.

Seems like I have seen folks with tickets pretty regularly, though I have never bought from scalpers.
Adios to Guzman, best of luck in Texas. White Sox traded for Edwin Jackson, which seems like it might be the first step in a Dunn to Chicago deal. Not sure I like it.

Ive never bought tix outside stadium either, but get offered constantly, so prob not a huge deal. Can always just buy the 10 buck tickets and sit down most anywhere anyway..
On the subject of the trades, like the two so far. Really liked Capps, but getting a top 50 prospect for him was prob to good to pass up. Ramos can easily develop into a future everyday catcher, or be part of trade for a decent player next season if we are looking like we could contend in a year or so..
Guz deal was prob as good as we could do for a 2 hitter with not much power and doesnt walk as well as being a step slow in field. Hopefully he can contribute in Texas and one of the pitcher can at least be a solid pen guy.
Do not like any of this Edwin Jackson stuff though. Dont think he will be a special pitcher and would much rather keep Dunn. I am in the resign Dunn for 4/60 camp, but with the Yanks getting Berkman, if we can sucker the Rays or someone like the Giants into giving up a top talent for him, wouldnt mind it as much.

Yeah, I love Dunn. He seems like a great clubhouse guy and this team is seriously lacking in pop. Really like the Capps trade, Storen is the closer of the future anyway.

Zim is so clutch.
Good news on another solid rehab start for Zimerman and Detwiler looked better. Need some arms in the pen still, but it is coming around. Lannan goes tomorrow maybe he has fixed his issues.

Anyone know of decent Nats forums? Checked out wnff.com for a bit, but they are pretty painful over there.
Also, over/under on when Bally hits someone else in the head??

Bump for Cole and Solis signing. Assuming Harper signs tomm the Nats look to have had a really good draft. Cole was a mid first talent who fell cuz of sign-ability issues and Solis looks to be a pretty good future 4-5 starter and shouldnt take that long to see the pros.
A good job in restocking the minors, including 2 young potential top prospects in Harper and Cole
