Strickland is so good at attacking the rim sometimes, I wish he'd do it more. Granted it's his only offensive move but he does it quite well.

i hope against some of the cupcakes we have scheduled, they start integrating the other freshman into the starting lineup. maybe bullock can be the shot creator we need to space the floor. with LDII and strick and barnes the ball spacing is terribad for a backcourt.

i mean what this time primarily lacks is someone who is a "go-getter" and actually can get stuff done. knox seems to be good at that-- he's just an aggressive rebounder and finisher, he will probably be a good band-aid this season [obviously he's not someone who is tremendously skilled on offense]. marshall and bullock both seem like guys that can actually create and want to score. that's good. barnes, you know, eh, he's obviously very good, but right now he's probably more suited as an open jump shooter instead of an offensive focal point, he can't really do that though as weak as unc is everywhere else.

lol henson @ the line...lol @ us at the line. 5-13 from the line and 5-14 from 3, while Illini are 7-9 and 8-11 respectively...that's the game, basically. also 18 TOvs.....sigh.

**** is just ridiculous. so many of the turnovers are essentially unforced too

edit: we finished 8/17 i guess but the last few were cosmetic. that's at least 7-8 points left on the board

The most alarming is the FT%, it has been a problem for a bulk of the years since Coach Gut left.

What happened to the days when the team would shoot 80-90% from the line and when a guy would miss two in a game, and the commentator would say "he is going to be hitting that free throw line tomorrow, and shooting a bunch of extra free throws so he doesn't miss anymore of those."

I could write a list of the things that frustrates me out of the team, but all I would like to do is see them hit FT.

Easiest ****ing thing to do on the court. Maybe they can at least get that right by the end of the season.

As I watched Kyrie Irving lead Dook last night to a gritty win, and look like a seasoned vet that knew exactly what to do.

I wondered, is the "Carolina Way" a detriment to player development, and possibly even ****** the rapid growth of these 5 star recruits?

Granted its hard to argue with 40 1st round draft picks.

I have a long rambling thought on this, I'll post it later.

henson's ft stroke doesn't look nearly as bad as his %'s lol

defense has looked solid. rotations have been pretty good and they are pressuring passing lanes. need to keep it up on the boards, think that's our biggest issue defensively. on offense they seem a lot more aggressive, would like barnes to get more touches and would also like him to go left more. it's there if he wants it

Henson is extremely lol as far as his offensive game goes, but in all my years of watching college bball I can't think of a player ever this long who can alter every shot like him. Its freakish just to look at him out there.

Could we turn the ball over any more?

yeah the turnovers are still hurting us. bad spacing and worse decision making/awareness

that was a 2 by ky imo

strickland is athletic but he seems to have meh body control. sucks at changing speeds

Strickland doesn't have speeds. He has one speed which is jet fast at all times, which leads to erratic as hell play from him.

Most fluid and efficient our offense has looked all year. And does CBS just have better mic pick ups or something? Every game on fox sports makes the crowd sound completely dead

lol henson, so little range. he's working so hard though and playing very well. think he needs to be reeled in some offensively. his skills have improved but he should still be operating as a finisher mainly. he's shown decent vision and even a little bit of a handle though so it's not horrible letting him have the ball. just needs to shoot less
