Re: TAR HEEL basketball: new and improved with a dash of Harrison Barnes

Hope the Dook fans enjoyed their one year reprieve. Even if we didn't have Barnes and Bullock coming in, I'd be feeling righteous with Henson returning, slinging amazing passes from every conceivable angle and every spot on the floor, blocking shots like it was cool, and dropping in hook shots. And I'm back in the Tar Heel State for the first time in 8 years. It doesn't get much better.

Also, you shacked the pic of Coach K having a coniption. That's what he gets for wearing Ah-dee-daaaahz with a damn funeral suit.

Pretty lol at us being ranked 8 and 9 this year. If we had McAdoo I feel like that would probably be about accurate and we would be pretty hood, but our frontcourt is super thin and we have a lot of questions re: pg play.

Re: TAR HEEL basketball: new and improved with a dash of Harrison Barnes

NCAAB is pretty weak this year IMO after all the leaving early freshman from last year IMO. Duke should be strong but after that it's a pretty big question mark. We have a ton of talent. Obviously we had a good amount of talent last year as well but tons of issues. I think Harrison and Bullock should be the answer to the many problems we had last year. Thing is with Ed leaving and McAdoo gone we ahve issues elsewhere especially in the post. If no one gets hurt (huge if) in the post we could be very good this year--but if Zeller gets hurt (which he probably will)...we have no depth and I'm not sure if we can overcome that this easily unless HB is as awesome as he is projected to be. Knox-Henson-Zeller is such a short big man rotation we might be forced to play HB at the 4 which I think is way out of position.

With Graves screwing over the team it may come to HB playing some at the 4. Roy said he wanted to play HB exclusively at the 3 but now won't be able to.

Roy said that Graves was going to play 90% of his minutes this year at the 4. Roy also called Graves the team's best defender (which came as a shock to me).

I'm guessing the die hard fans realize what kind of blow this is losing Graves for this season... but the layman UNC fan probably doesn't.

No senior game for you Will. I hope those highs were worth it.

Re: TAR HEEL basketball: new and improved with a dash of Harrison Barnes

I think Henson should be this years best defender. It'll probably be more off the ball than on the ball--but he was good at that last year. His lack of size will definitely hurt on the ball. How much size does Knox have? Zeller / Henson are both incredibly (or were) weak for their position. When I was on campus I saw Zeller in person (obviously dressed heavily since it was the winter) but he looked quite big but obviously not that big.

After last season's debacle, ban Ligistar from ever creating any UNC team threads

There's no way Larry Drew can be as bad as last year, right?

one can dream korleone, one can dream.

that being said, remember he was one of our best players in the NIT (i know, i know, LOLNIT). also, Z and him are being pressed to be leaders w/ no seniors on the roster.

Re: TAR HEEL basketball: new and improved with a dash of Harrison Barnes

there should be much less pressure on him with the incoming freshman perimeter players IMO. he won't have to score much, he'll just have to distribute.
