Is there any way to find optimism at this point? Only thing I can say is that 3 of these losses in isolation, are not that bad. Of course the one that was that bad is hard to get over, and impossible to disregard. I know rumors are swirling about internal chemistry problems, which, are getting increasingly harder to write off as silly rumors.

Really sucks that a couple weeks ago I was so pumped for not just this team but college hoops in general. This weekend I found myself not really giving a **** and didn't watch any of the games.

Why the F didn't Waiters and Southerland play?

I think Triche and Jardine have serious attitude problems. Jardine *can* take over a game, but needs to realize if he's not making it happen, he needs to lead the team by dishing it up and creating plays for others. I think his hubris denies him the ability to do that.

Jackson is only dominant when the team is crushing, and I've felt all season ( I think I made the 8-10 losses prediction 3 or 4 games into the season ) that our inside game is mostly nonexistant and that the Big East was going to chew us up.

Agree that Waiters and Sutherland need much more playing time, hearing rumors of Waiters transferring next year cuz he's unhappy with playing time. Sutherland has been nothing but positive when he gets time on the court.

Can we kill the Fab Melo experiment at this point?

And we need to insert Mookie into the games for short periods of time periodically. Our game is explosion, and running the court and knocking down three and fast breaks. Mookie can ignite that feeling in us by hitting some 25 footers.

Have we switched to man on man yet at any point this season? Jimmy B may be getting some cobwebs up there.

Edit: Jesus, just noticed we're @ UConn Wednesday. Hopefully Boeheim changes up the starting lineup.

Also wanted to add that Joseph is the man and we need about 11 more of him

Waiters didn't play cause he told Boeheim to F off in the Seton Hall game. Not sure about Southerland.

Here is the problem with Mookie. Yes he can help tremendously on the offensive end, but so far in Big East play, when he is at the top of that zone the opposition's PG always goes right at him and seems to get by 90+% of the time right into the lane where you're relying on Fab or Rick to play 1 on 2 or a forward has to help leaving the wing wide open. He just can't stop penetration when he's out there.

Letting them pass the ball inside is one thing. That still leaves 1 on 1 situations. But once easy penetration begins, the zone is gonna get burned way too often.

lol @ anyone saying that mookie would solve any of our problems...backup quarterback syndrome imo.

i'd love to see cj fair get some more burn

i think a major reason that we've been terrible recently is the poor rebounding effort. when we cant grab the ****ing ball on the d-glass, we dont get easy transition buckets like last years team did. we're sooooo much softer on the backline then last year, huge difference going from AO-RJ-Wes to RJ-KJ-JS/CF

Weird, I saw all these frantic threads on the Scout forum today but none of them actually mentioned what all the fuss was about. They had plenty of room to not cover vs. Seton Hall and still win though, didn't they? Lol

You guys really need to read tniaam, not ******ed scout forums?

Rumor started btwn p5s (lol) and Syracuse.com. Some ******ed local reporter and some ******ed BR writer picked it up and ran with it.

What a cluster**** of ******ed people spreading some troll's post. The details were pretty lol too. Something about Scoops uncle/cousin betting 100k on the SHU game, lol.

Scout forums are where people actually discuss Syracuse basketball.

I didn't think we played that well and UConn didn't look like a top 10 team imo.

I guess this season could get interesting again with a couple more wins this week, we should be right back in the #3 seed area. Plus teams kinda suck. Nobody appears close to as good as Kansas, Kentucky, or us last year.
What kind of crowd are we expecting tomorrow: 25k+?

Pretty huge game and huge stretch overall to close out the season. Would be nice to get into that double bye territory again esp so I have to take less days off from work for the BET.

first of all, **** georgetown. I think we can all agree with that.

2011 McDonalds AA list is out. Rakeem Christmas and MCW are on the team. Pretty sure the last time we had two in this game was the flynn/greene (& RJ/scoop) class.
