I said this early on in Week 1. It's looking good after two full weeks now.

Re: St Louis Rams 2009 Season

NFL records - not sure how many games these teams played
37 Cincinnati/St. Louis, 1934
38 Cincinnati, 1933 Detroit, 1942
51 Pittsburgh, 1934 Philadelphia, 1936

google search picked this up for a 16 game schedule
1991 Colts (1-15)
A memorable season for Indianapolis -- the Colts set NFL records for fewest points (143) and fewest TDs (14) in a 16-game season.

Seeing as how we're on pace for 56 points, I think we have a shot.

A few years old, but worth a read: http://espn.go.com/page2/s/list/foot...ams/worst.html

Going to the game today, will not be wearing green and gold, will be outnumbered by those who are.

Re: St Louis Rams 2009 Season

Already you can see the difference Spags has made on the defensive side. Actually getting some pressure on a QB and a sack to boot!!

YES Bulger out of the game

edit - we are simply non existent of offense

Boller is one of my all-time most hated players, but I guess I sorta hope he keeps the job. He's terrible, but so is Bulger, and at least Boller runs out of the pocket instead of standing there like a statue to get sacked 40 times a game.

This is such a bad year to have a high pick, too. I hate Bradford, Snead isn't showing much and might not even declare, and McCoy and Tebow aren't top five picks (or decent NFL QB prospects for that matter). I already have visions of us taking Bradford and me slitting my wrists in disgust.

I can't really decide how much I am kidding about that.

We definitely need a QB who knows how to run for his life.

Even if he somehow convinced people that he should go higher than tenth (if he is dumb enough to sit out and re-enter), I can't see us taking a receiver. We won't give up on Avery and Burton this quickly, and Laurent is actually a very good player. He might not be a true #1 receiver, but we have more pressing needs than WR.

If we are picking in the top five, I think the only positions we'd strongly consider drafting there would be QB and DL (or possibly S if we're not in the top four and the front office absolutely loves Mays/Berry). I think it almost has to be a QB or a DE, though I guess DT would make sense if we shift Carriker back outside. If we trade down a few spots or end up with a pick in the 6-10 range, maybe it's different, but there aren't many positions we need that are worthy of top five money.

Re: St Louis Rams 2009 Season

Considering there are a few teams (Bucs most notably) in need of a QB is Marc Bulger at all tradeable? Would teams give up a decent draft pick(s) to acquire him?

Or are we yet again liable to just cut a big contract player loose?

I just cant see us drafting some1 other than a QB. Bulger just takes too long to get rid of the ball and he is **** scared in the pocket and well i dont blame him. Hopefully Boller is just a stop gap for some1 better to fill the QB position

Waldo what was the reaction within the stadium to the Rams overall?

Re: St Louis Rams 2009 Season

There's really no option other than releasing him after the season. I can't remember how his contract is structured, but IIRC, he's one who will need to be cut after June 1 so the cap hit is spread out.

Re: St Louis Rams 2009 Season

Packers fans were very loud and obnoxious. They figure they can get away with that in St. Louis when our team sucks, but not Chicago, Philly, New York, ect. The Rams crowd didn't boo at all, but still seemed pretty apathetic overall.

No, there isn't.
