Mariners have had a tough schedule to start out the season. The Astros and Twins are better than people thought. They beat up on the As who have gotten out of the gate slowly. Cruz is a beast. Starting pitching other than Felix has been disappointing. Last year they put Maurer in a relief role and he did well. He's gone now and I wonder if the Mariners are sticking with their starters too long because of bullpen depth. Zenino strikes out too much.

I hope they can avoid a long slide that always seems to creep in. This solid start is a nice change and makes it a lot easier to deal with a few losses. But the Twins? Come on, let's salvage one.
