Well thats a little better. Lopez probably feels like a douche. 0-5 in a game your team put up 15. STOP TRYING TO PULL EVERYTHING A-HOLE!

Sorry I went missing. Nice come from behind win yesterday. Sweeney is showing a boatload of value over the last 10 days. Please find a hitter soon. Brandon League is on pace for a 16-16 record, lol.

Why are the Mariners having a Felix Hernandez Train giveaway?

Please quote me if you respond so I remember to check.

Mariners are kind of proving run expectancy models should not be linear.

Not sure exactly what you are asking but the train giveaways started with the move to safeco field. There are tracks right next to the park so most games you get to here the loud ass horn.

Griffey's gift is apparently huge gift calls to win games.

Still <3 Junior though, I think it's kinda cool he went out on his own terms.

I just want to point out that starting play today the M's are tied with the pirates for the worst record in baseball. What happened here? Doug Fister can't get back quickly enough imo. Plus let the Cliff Lee sweepstakes begin. If he has an injury we could confirm that god exists and hates seattle sport franchises.

Just as Im ready to flush, these turds turn things around a bit. 6 strait wins, nothing to sneeze at. Felix will try to deliver the seventh strait tomorrow.

Going to the Lee start last night just made me irrationally want them to sign him to 5/100 all that much more. :-(

Also went to the game today. WTF Leadoff the inning with two walks then strikeout the side.

OMG OMG OMG, Russ Branyan ftw!!!! Hopefully he can get us a tad bit more offense, which might be enough.

Fairly entertaining if you like mariners talk. About once a week for an hour long show.
Tick tock on Cliff Lee, hopefully he doesn't turn into another Jeremy Reed.

We turned Cliff Lee into Justin Smoak. Who is hitting a robust .209 with 8hrs and 34 rbi. We already have a bunch of guys hitting .209. I am disappointed. Hopefully he turns into the player he is supposed to. I guess the AA pitcher is solid but I have never heard of him.

steve,

They're poking a little fun at me for my Justin Smoak fanboy love in the mlb thread. Still you look at Smoak and A) he's hit just some HARD line drives off his bat this year right at somebody, just more than his fair share. Oh and his .209 avg you might wanna check the OBP b/c thats still decent. Dude leads all rookies in walks. Top 50 in the majors in pitches per plate appearance. B) He probably should of been a September call up if Chris Davis hadn't sucked ass to start the season. Kid's only 23 with only really a year in the minor league system and he crushed at every level on his way up C) He's already better than Kotchman.

I'm not sure if the Yankees were really offering Montero or not, but if so maybe you could make an argument Montero will be better. I think both will be great so maybe its a matter of preference. Bleavan was the 7th overall pick in '07. He was a hard throwing cocky kid coming out of high school. He did an interview on a local radio station in Dallas shortly after he was drafted that basically was like "hey with the pitchers they have in Arlington now, who knows I could be in the bigs real soon". Since then he's lost velocity on his fastball, but seems to have developed a cooler head. In more recent interviews he's come across as a very humble kid who just wants to learn to pitch. Which it seems he really has, about a week or 2 before the trade he was promoted to AAA and the most regular thing you hear about him now is he has terrific control. He's not just a throw in, he'll be a big league contributor sooner rather than later.

Well with only 37 games left Ichiro needs 39 hits to reach 200 again. The only interesting thing worth following the rest of the way. Although I will be interested in seeing if they call up Ackley. Smoak also probably makes a return with the 40 man roster too.

Also, I am wondering if Figgins gets put on the waiver wire. It makes sense and I don't think many teams would jump at that contract.

Its really sad that Felix probably misses out on the Cy Young thanks to our horrible position players. Its small consolation that everyone knows he deserves it.

Such a crime if Felix misses out on the Cy Young because of our ****ty offense.

King Felix should win the CY hands down.

I'd like CC to win it... but King Felix should run away with the CY but he probably won't because voters are ******ed. It actually helps now Price and Lester both could have 20 wins with numbers significantly better than CC's.
