Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard
Was fun boys, regroup for next year, we're still gonna have a killer defense and play in the NFCLOLWEST

God Kyle Williams is a dingbat. He better not be let back on the team. Wait a failure.

Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard
Had a good year, had low expectations, had a terrible WR corp.
Was fun enjoying the run with you all. I was really pessimistic cause I didn't want to jinx anything. But damn it was a good run.
Next season could not come earlier.
I think I'll see most of you in the spring when Timmay and co, ends this sorrow!

It Definitely sucks a lot more when you lose because of an injury replacement ****tards stupid mistakes. If Eli torched us in a final drive I would still be depressed but ****... It just sucks to go out this way.

Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard
Coaching staff should have told williams to slide/avoid tackles on returns. special teams > good D > good O
meh, I feel much better right now than I did last year this time of year.

Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard
=(
good season. bright future. lacking much emotion after a game like that (that neither team imo deserved to WIN). taking solace in the fact that our defense stopped the 4th quarter superstar eli about 6 times in the final 5 and OT. not happy about the fact that he probably gets credit for a game winning drive.
100% plan to black out and not remember any of the super bowl as i will be furious about either team winning. bright side: one team i hate will lose!
<3 harbaugh still. think vernon davis needs to get smacked upside the head every day for the rest of his life just to keep him in check. feel really bad for kyle williams (and billy cundiff)...but would be ok with him not being a 49er next year.
not to get all depressing but our schedule next year is gonna be tough. we'll still win the west imo but nfc north+gmen+packers+afc east=about as hard as it can get.

Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard
Heckuva run. This hurts but not as bad as the 15-13 game that cost us the threepeat. That was a near GOAT player for us going Ali-Holmes, this was just a scrub loling in a way a HS kid wouldn't.
Give the nyfg their due, the WRs and 3rd down conversions were terrible today, we certainly know where we need to upgrade.
We should be competitive with this group for several years, may even not have to pay Alex quite as much after today.

OK, now go sign Timmy & Cain.

Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard
Kyle Williams, Lee Evans, Billy Cundiff, can't anything with 'em.
**** ny & boston, but the Eli>Peyton lolz give me a vague rooting interest.

Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard
it really sucks, but i'm at peace with this. getting this far was completely unexpected and a total pipe dream
one thing i'll say with certainty: the giants weren't the better team and eli manning did not win this game. that's not to say the niners were the better team cuz they weren't. this game was as evenly matched a football game as there was all year
the niners finally have the right coach for the first time since seifert, the niners defense is 1 corner away from being the undisputed best in the nfl (carlos rogers is not a #1 corner, and will never be. cruz SMOKED him all day). the niners have a lot of the important pieces already in place to make them a perennial super bowl contender. this isn't like the new york jets who get hot in the playoffs despite being dog**** in reality, this team is among the elite in the nfl as it is right now, and they'll only get better
who got it better than us?!

Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard
I want to echo that for whatever reason, I'm not really gutted by this - can't explain it, really. I think mainly that I feel they're still building and there's a lot of visible room for improvement (by comparison, the aforementioned game in 1990 was like WTF WE HAVE THE BEST TEAM HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!?!?!?!)
I think they keep Williams around, but he's a practice squad player if they get the needed upgrades at WR for next season. And yeah, if they can land a top-shelf cover corner, it's going to be very, very tough to score on this team next year. Hopefully they can emerge from that tougher schedule relatively unscathed.

Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard
I agree that the Giants are not conclusively better. I wish we could just play the giants 16 times next season. But those ****ers are tough. And after 16 games no one might be left alive. About 20 times today I though that Eli was going to die, but somehow he just kept getting back up. I feel both of the teams deserved to win (basically the same logic as saying neither deserved to win). It was a great game where we just kept canceling each other out.
Before the game, I told my family how heartbroken I would be if we lost. But after being pissed for about 30 seconds after the fumble, I was like "how can I be pissed? I expected jack **** this year and got one of the greatest years of football in my life time".
Anyway, fumbles happen. I don't resent Kyle Williams. Hes young, he was facing a tough team, and he is not a specialized returner.
