Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard

apparently willis should be ready for the season opener.

looks like their veteran acquisitions couldn't have been more timely. crabtree goes down but they traded for boldin, now culliver is hurt but they signed aso.

Yea Willis will wear a cast and go all "Bam Bam" as Chad Johnson (nee Ochocinco) calls him.

It means Bowman will just be the guy who is in on dime/'passing downs.'

Cully injury sucks, but I'm not at all worried. Nnamdi apparently is looking mega elite.

we just got collie and hawkins--guess the rest of our depth at WR isn't looking great. we can't afford many other injuries.

AJ Jenkins traded to KC for Jon Baldwin. They both have been huge disappointments, but at least Baldwin has some size to him.

are you surprised at how little?

game 1s are really hard to guess. who knows how good/bad will be without crabtree in a real game. really like our D this year. not sure what to expect from our O other than a lot of success on the ground. Hopefully Patton/Davis have monster years.

Im no sure. The games are always pretty close though I didnt see who was home team (im assuming we are) I just remember how shocked everyone was that we came out taking a game in GB last year. Figured the line would be under 3

e/c Boldin was coming off one of the GOAT playoff WR performances and Randy was coming off retirement.

Boldin was spectacular. Kap was spectacular. Harbaugh was spectacular. Defense was elite even with some LOL tackling.

I am most worried about audibles and changing things presnap at SeAderall on SNF.

Don't love our chances, but as long as the offense can move the ball the 12th man will be held somewhat quiet.

Its gonna be a long week! Go Niners

Re: San Francisco 49ers: Shaking Hands Too Hard

Pretty interesting interview from Dennis Gile here, one of the guys that was coaching up Kaepernick this offseason.

Here are some of my favorite parts:

Quote:
On biomechanics and if they tightened up his throwing motion even more:

I think everyone's going to be super surprised when they see him. I don't really want to get into specifically like I said, exactly what we changed. But everyone's going to see a totally different throwing motion from what they've seen out of Colin Kaepernick in the past.
Quote:
We worked on footwork every single day before and during the workouts. So, their footwork is not going to get much faster than what they do. At times they need to slow down if that does anything. They got enough quickness with their feet to get away from anything, and to do anything they want. It's just, being able to put it together from head to toe and the understanding of what we're trying to get them to do, while doing that. And it took him two or three days to get that down mentally. So he understands it, and it's totally different because he's never had a quarterback coach before, so he's always just based his game off of how athletic he was, and his arm strength and stuff like that.
Quote:
People say, he can't read the field, he's not smart enough, this and that. And, they're mistaken. He's very intelligent, he gets it, like I said, he has a very photographic memory, so his pre- and post-snap look, it's very decisive at times, it's just everything has to match up to where all 11 guys and coaches are on the same page.
