Wow things are looking up!. Loving it!

With the recent catching situation, I wish they would have made a bold move for once and called up Sanchez. I know offensively and defensively he's not quite up to par for what management wants before a promotion up here but with our top 3 hurt, he was our best option. Bring him up give him a shot. If it didnt work out then send him back when Doumit was ready. If they think a short stint up would be so negative that it would stunt his development then he was never worth in the first place.

Ho hum, another road series, another win for the buccos. Yes, a 19-15 road record is a great mark, but I also like the 15-10 record in the division.

I don't really like our chances tomorrow though, JMac has looked pretty bad in his last few starts and is walking a ton of batters. The Astros are LOLbad however, so hopefully this team can step it up and finish the sweep.

I made it to the game tonight. Very good game and the relief pitching did a great job. The Ortiz AB was pretty awesome and Hanrahan was unstoppable as usual. Looking forward to tomorrow's game!

Nice to see Chase d'Arnaud (Dar-No) get a shot at the show. He was fun to watch in Indy. He was a decently fast middle infielder (who is playing at 3B I think) with a solid bat.

Good to see em get a win over BOS... I like seeing the 3-1 wins over the 8-5 victories because it actually makes me feel like the Buccos are getting a solid staff built up.

The Bucs just took the first two games of the Series from the Red Sox, with tonight's game being the largest crowd in PNC Park history. They go for the sweep tomorrow afternoon, with a chance to move to three games above .500.

Cutch has performed at MVP level so far this season, putting up a monstrous 4.2 WAR. Hammer is one of the most dominant closers in the league. The pitching staff has seemingly overperformed but they haven't stopped pitching great yet (Jeff Karstens? WTF?)

God I hope the Bucs are buyers at this trade deadline, or at least Pedro comes back healthy and produces like he did at the end of last season. LET'S GO BUCS!!!

If the Pirates become good then fans in all other cities would have no reason to live. We would have a monopoly on good sports teams and ketchup.

Isn't it awesome how the Pirates are 1 game above .500 and it seems like were at the top of the division lol Pirates fans are just used to sucking so the first bit of winning we do and all hell breaks loose.

FWIW we are 2 games above .500 now. A sweep of the best team in the AL would be a huge coup. A dramatic increase in attendance resulting from improved play could make the Pirates buyers at the deadline. If Pedro comes back healthy, and they added someone like Beltran for the stretch run, then they have a real shot at the division.
