The draft is super deep at corner and they wanted to get established receivers for Wentz and not have his development screwed up by awful receivers. Wormack is a nice buy low reclamation project since he thrived under Stoutland at Alabama. They have nice depth on the line now.

I expect the draft to be mostly defense and a RB somewhere in rd 2-4. 1st round probably a corner or defensive end. Trade back prob a lot more likely now too for a 2018 pick. They owe 2018 2nd to Cle.

I'm loving Doug's 4th down aggressiveness

I wasn't sure if that was 4th down aggressiveness or not trusting the kickerness

We parked at the Jericho lot, $75 for RV parking ($50 for cars). Met a couple of guys, the athmosphere was awesome. Had quite a few beers, everybody walked to the stadium together, chanting and cheering, TONS of green jerseys everywhere, all through the crowd - and we beat the Skins away. That was one hell of a great day. I only wish we had arrived earlier, that tailgating party was really nice.

I like his general aggressiveness but that 4th and 8 seemed like a pretty bad decision to me.

It wasn't. 4th and 8 at the opposing 42 has roughly the same winning percentage between punt and go for it. It was a 50/50 toss up by the numbers. People are just being results oriented because 1. They didn't get it. 2. He got sacked and lost field position. 3. They drove down to the one and almost got a TD. But overall it's about a 50/50 toss up in that spot. And even if it was a small mistake if you consider game flow and keeping the giants pinned down and all that stuff, I'll still take it because it means he will be making a ton of correct 4th down decisions going forward, probably even more so than last year (as long as he doesn't cave to pressure and adjust to meet other people's archaic views on going for it on 4th down).

I agree. I'm delighted that he's so aggressive. I was half-assedly agreeing with going for it in that spot, but ecstatically shouting in my wife's ear how I love Doug's huge balls the other times. Even if in that spot he was slightly off (which I don't think he was but meh, who knows), if that is what it takes in order to have a HC who isn't going to kick and punt away our equity all the time and making me pull my hair out (like when I watch the Packers, who are my wife's team), then I'll gladly take that. And I mean really ****ing gladly.

Even if you think the 4th and 8 was a little too aggressive, just the fact that Doug considered going for it is a great sign. Hopefully this means the 4th and 2s in similar situations will be automatic.
