Re: New York Yankees - 27-Time World Champions
for bad players on their way out of town, the facetious claim by fans is often 'i'll drive him to the airport' - i'll drive aj and his wife to anaheim, even if i have to hear 4 hours of AJ talking about neck tattoos and shaving cream pies

yea I'm posting here.........report me and ban me idc
Just too happy to see AJ gone not to say something. He might be great somewhere else, just like Vazquez was (after 2 stints nonetheless), but the guy just is not good here and that's not gonna change. I actually have yet to meet a single Yankees fan that wants him here, it's a no-brainer.
Hughes as a #5 starter? #lickinglips....

Re: New York Yankees - 27-Time World Champions
The Yanks got all the talent they need now, they should pick up Damon and keep AJ, those guys are big in the clubhouse, and they can both still contribute on the field. AJ got them back to NY last OCT for game 5, he's due for a big year. They want to trade him for nothing and sign Ibanez or Chavez, that's a HUGE mistake. Get some of that magic back from '09, this team's NOT gonna click.

There was a sharp decline today in projected worldwide demand for shaving cream

Re: New York Yankees - 27-Time World Champions
It's tough to get excited about what they got back or the money, but I sure can get excited about never watching AJ pitch again.
I still hope they don't spend the money on Damon and Chavez. Branyan and Nunez are probably just as good for those jobs.

Re: New York Yankees - 27-Time World Champions
Roster?
Catchers: Martin, Cervelli
INF: Tex, Cano, Jeter, Boatshoez, Chavez, Nunez
DH: Ibanez, Jones
OF: Gardner, Granderson, Swisher
SP: C.C., Pineda, Nova, Kuroda, Hughes, Garcia
RP: Rivera, Robertson, Soriano, Wade, Booooone, Phelps/Joba?
If we let Jones/Ibanez be the backup OFs then it looks like we can carry Nunez and Chavez.
