Feel like the Mets are going to use the injuries as an excuse, but they were headed down this path even when healthy with the defense and bullpen being trash.

The only injury that's matted at all is not having Cespedes the last few days. Duda's absense caused Conforto to play and play well the last few days and d'Arnaud sucks.

Actually been meaning to talk about that. You have a 10 day DL- available a short bench with both d'Arnaud and Cepedes unable to play the field and you keep that loser d'Arnaud on the roster and have 3 horrible catchers on the 25 with a short bench? That is ****ing ridiculous. d'Arnaud should be on the DL, what you really need his bat off the bench? Why can't the Mets accept that d'Arnaud is awful.

sucks that hopes have dashed so quick , last night , from the time it took me to drive from 23rd/west side highway , to 96th street/wsh they were down 5 runs . its discouraging, i emotionally hedged myself by betting the under with anyone that would take it, but i was so hoping they had a good season instead

The entire staff should be fired after this debacle. Replace them with monkeys. They can't do worse. How they allowed BOTH the team's best hitter and best pitcher to come back too early and reinjure themselves is unfathomable.

Unbelievable--they had a whole talk about Bruce Bochy without a single reference to his beachball of a head. Keith must have the day off.

Oh and the Mets say, "possible strained lat" which I assume translates to "anything is possible".
