I'm sure Sandy WOULD have brought him back if he was allowed to spend like a regular NY GM running a team that just went to the god damn World Series.

This is an ownership problem, not a Sandy problem. A NY team that just went to the WS LOWERED payroll and is 19th of 30 in the league. That is a ****ing joke.

The Wilpons can't afford to own the Mets and should be pressured/forced to sell.
I've heard whispers that it something other than money with Murphy. They've had no problem using offensive players at defensive positions. I think some of it was not wanting to be committed for more than one year, but this guy would have made almost any necessary concession to remain a Met. They could have paid him Neil Walker money this year.

Nimmo leading off tonight. Still no Granderson. At least there's no De Aza either.

So it seems if Matz doesn't pitch well tonight Mets might not have a LHP in their rotation the rest of the year.

keep throwing 0-2 and 1-2 pitches over the plate guys, it has been working like a charm for years now

Howie Rose went into an "its either a 3 run shot or off the wall" call on Matz's flyout to center. God this team is a joke... Every starting pitcher is condemned to a loss

Don't think I've ever seen a 3rd deck HR in CitiField before. Cespedes murdered that

I actually view that as a good thing and maybe why Sandy is saying not to expect a major trade. You'd expect that to move back towards something normal. Hitting with RISP isn't really considered much of a specific skill.

omg yes!!! They're leaving in a guy who just failed to get out De Aza. Here is a positive prediction. I GUARANTEE Nimmo gets a double here!

he just walked the worst hitter in the league, and you swing at the first pitch? Smart.

Boom!, single and 2nd on the throw close enough prediction!

Niss, he didn't walk De Aza on 4 pitches, he walked him on 8 and wasn't wild. His control was fine and you know he wants to throw a strike after walking that heaving pile of dog ****, Nimmo had 2 men on down 2, flat out taking the first pitch if it's juicy is idoitic
